The main focus of the position is platform integration, data strategy, and solution architecture, with responsibility for defining how engineering tools, APIs, workflows, and data capabilities fit together into secure, scalable, and dependable solutions that help engineers work more effectively across the company.

What you will do

  • Set the future-state architecture for integrated engineering platforms and data solutions.
  • Convert business priorities and engineering needs into solution designs that can be implemented successfully.

  • Work in partnership with colleagues in engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and enterprise architecture to ensure technical alignment.
  • Lead thinking on data strategy, including data ingestion, governance, quality, metadata management, and support for analytics use cases.
  • Identify where capabilities are missing, where architectural risk exists, and where investment should be directed.
  • Ensure the solutions designed are scalable, secure, resilient, observable, and cost-efficient.

What Arm is looking for

  • Extensive experience in one or more of the following roles: solution architect, platform architect, enterprise architect, or data architect.
  • Experience creating integrated platform designs that combine cloud environments, on-premises systems, APIs, microservices, and data platforms.
  • A strong grasp of platform engineering, software delivery, infrastructure services, and the developer experience.
  • Practical experience in data strategy, data integration, analytics enablement, or data architecture.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and bring multiple teams into alignment across a global organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, plus the ability to balance strategic architectural direction with hands-on delivery needs.

Additional experience that would be useful

  • Background in semiconductor, hardware engineering, EDA, or engineering productivity environments.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, lineage, catalogues, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with architecture governance, technology roadmaps, vendor management, or investment planning.

What you can expect in return

You will join a collaborative, fast-moving team that tackles meaningful platform challenges. The role offers scope to grow your technical expertise, help shape platform strategy, and make a direct impact on the productivity of thousands of engineers across Arm.
