What the role involves
- Managing a team of hourly associates working in inventory control and quality assurance activities inside the fulfilment centre.
- Supporting safety initiatives and helping ensure the workplace remains safe for everyone on site.
- Overseeing inventory control maintenance and carrying out random counts according to network counting approaches, with attention to consistency and SOX requirements.
- Monitoring inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and quality performance, then feeding useful observations back to operations leadership.
- Organising shift plans, forecasting labour needs, and assigning work appropriately across the team.
- Identifying why inventory deviations happen by using root-cause and cause-and-effect analysis.
- Contributing to quality programmes that operate across the wider fulfilment and operations network.
- Examining customer complaints and defect data from processes, then building corrective actions that reduce the chance of repeat problems.
- Driving improvements in processes and helping team members adapt to Amazonâs rapid growth through coaching, motivation, and retention-focused leadership.
- Reviewing employee performance and supporting development through feedback, recognition, and coaching.
What Amazon is looking for
- A bachelorâs degree or an equivalent background, or practical experience in operations management.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Advanced fluency in the local language.
- Preferred knowledge of lean methods and Six Sigma tools.
- Strong analytical capability, including good mathematical ability and experience working with data.
- The ability to learn new systems and data-analysis tools quickly.
