Amazon’s Global Procurement Organization is looking for a senior supply chain leader to help drive major strategic work across procurement operations. The position is focused on improving how the organization operates at scale by leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, strengthening processes, and building capabilities that support long-term growth and efficiency. The role sits within procurement operations and is intended for someone who can move comfortably between detailed execution and broader strategic planning, while connecting day-to-day work to outcomes that matter to the wider business.

This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional who can work independently, influence across functions, and turn complex operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions. What you will do

  • Take ownership of complex initiatives with limited supervision, operating across procurement activities at country, regional, and cross-regional levels.
  • Work closely with partners in Operations, Transportation, Procurement, Finance, Risk, Business Strategy, Technology, and Engineering to move transformation efforts from concept through delivery.
  • Build and maintain mechanisms, dashboards, and performance measures that show progress, track value creation, and support continuous improvement.
  • Use advanced Excel, SQL, and database tools to examine large or complicated datasets, identify trends, spot risks, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Influence priorities and decisions by working across multiple teams, leaders, and functions, extending your impact beyond your immediate group.
  • Develop and champion process improvements, including solutions that can be applied across the network to raise operational standards and improve efficiency.
  • Serve as a strategic point of contact for difficult issues, helping teams navigate ambiguity and find effective ways forward.

What the team does

The Global Procurement Organization supports procurement operations across Amazon’s many business areas. • Experience working in supply chain.
  • Experience using data and metrics to identify opportunities and drive improvement.
  • Experience owning a program from strategy through full delivery, including reporting results to senior leadership.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at different levels.
  • Comfort with analytical work and tools such as advanced Excel, SQL, and databases.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
  • A master’s degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • The ability to operate strategically while also handling tactical execution in a complex, fast-moving environment.
