Capgemini Invent is looking for an experienced sustainability-focused management consultant to help clients respond to the challenges and opportunities created by climate change. The work centres on advising organisations on how climate impacts may affect their technology, digital services, operations, supply chains, and critical business functions, then helping them turn that understanding into practical action. The role sits within the sustainable futures team, Capgemini Invent’s dedicated sustainability practice, and is aimed at people who want to combine strategy, science, creativity, and technology to deliver meaningful transformation.

What you will do

• Work directly with clients, alongside colleagues from Capgemini Invent and the wider Capgemini business, to design and implement sustainability strategies and frameworks.
• Help clients identify additional opportunities to create value through sustainability, rather than treating it only as a compliance or risk exercise.
• Assess how exposed clients are to climate-related risks and use that insight to strengthen business continuity and operational resilience.
• Support the embedding of climate resilience into wider transformation programmes so that resilience is built into change from the outset.
• Deliver outcomes that are measurable across business performance, sustainability objectives, and resilience, using a resilience-by-design mindset.
• Act as a visible contributor to the internal sustainability community by introducing fresh ideas, new approaches, and relevant start-ups or innovations.
• Advocate for the value of sustainability across Capgemini and help colleagues understand how climate resilience and adaptation create client value.
• Help educate account teams, leaders, and other internal stakeholders on climate resilience, adaptation, and the commercial value these capabilities can bring.
• Contribute to business development through proposal writing, RFPs, bids, proposition creation, pitch support, and hosting clients at events.
• Take part in internal practice-building work such as campaign development, think-tanks, whitepapers, operational improvements, recruitment, team activities, and offering development.
• Support your own professional growth and the growth of the business through learning opportunities, certifications, and other development activities.

What the role calls for

• A background in climate science or another closely related discipline is likely to be relevant.
• Experience in sustainability, climate risk, resilience, ESG, enterprise risk, or operational resilience consulting is expected.
• You should understand climate adaptation and the physical risks associated with climate change.
• Exposure to climate risk and resilience work across sectors such as energy, financial services, and the public sector would be valuable.
• Experience delivering complex consulting engagements and managing stakeholders is important.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills are required.
• You should be comfortable leading projects and understand the commercial realities of client delivery.
• A genuine interest in sustainability and the ability to explain its importance to both clients and colleagues would be an advantage.
• Experience with climate risk modelling, resilience planning, or adaptation programmes would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, cybersecurity, or disaster recovery would be useful.
• Familiarity with climate-related reporting and disclosure frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, TNFD, and ISO 14091 would be helpful.
• Experience in sectors including government, financial services, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, or critical infrastructure would be a plus.
• Understanding of sustainable IT, GreenOps, FinOps, or sustainable AI principles would also be beneficial.
