Senior Product Solutions Engineer, GenAI Overview

Company Name Google
Job Role Senior Product Solutions Engineer, GenAI
Qualifications Bachelor’s
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

This position sits within Google’s gTech organization and focuses on helping strategic partners adopt the company’s generative AI capabilities across the EMEA and APAC regions. The role is centered on technical partnership, solution design, and enablement: you will work directly with external partners to help them understand, implement, and scale use of Google’s GenAI models and tools, including Gemma, Gemini ER models, and AI Studio. The work combines deep technical advising with hands-on experimentation, partner-facing consultation, and internal feedback sharing to help shape future product development.

What you will do

  • Act as a technical advisor for strategic partners, helping them integrate APIs, shape solution architecture, and, where appropriate, tailor models to their use cases.
  • Support partner adoption of Google’s GenAI stack by guiding prompt design, implementation choices, and practical deployment approaches.
  • Create robotics simulations in AI Studio and demonstrate robotics capabilities using Gemini ER models.
  • Lead one-to-one technical sessions with partners, including consultations and collaborative brainstorming to uncover high-value applications for Google’s AI tools.
  • Develop reusable technical assets such as sample implementations, reference code, and documentation that make it easier for partners to build successfully.
  • Capture partner feedback, technical requirements, and real-world use cases, then communicate those insights to Google’s product and engineering teams to help influence future improvements.

What the role involves

You will be working with highly strategic customers and partners, helping them move from concept to implementation with Google’s generative AI products. The role requires a mix of technical depth, communication skill, and consultative problem-solving. You will be expected to translate complex AI capabilities into practical business value, support experimentation through simulations and technical discussions, and help partners unlock new applications for large language models in their organizations.

The posting also places the role in the broader context of gTech’s mission: the team acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers around the world, combining product expertise, engineering knowledge, and an understanding of customer needs to deliver tailored solutions and scalable tools. The emphasis is on enabling customers to get the most from Google products while also feeding customer insight back into the company.

Experience and qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • You need at least six years of experience in computer engineering, software development, or technical tool building, including experience writing code to create solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with operating systems such as Linux, Unix, or Windows is required.
  • You should have experience using machine learning and building AI solutions.
  • Experience in robotics engineering is required.
  • A master’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Background in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, or other database technologies is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including building, maintaining, or architecting cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering, is preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving ability is preferred.
  • The role is at a mid-level career stage, so it is suited to someone who can make progress independently, solve complex problems, and mentor more junior team members.
  • Because Google operates globally, English proficiency is required unless a posting explicitly states otherwise.
