This role sits within Capgemini’s Intelligent Finance and Accounting Operation team and is focused on helping clients deliver major finance transformations through automation, digital tools, and modern operating models. The position is aimed at someone who can combine strong FP&A expertise with a practical understanding of technology-enabled change, and who is comfortable working with stakeholders to improve finance performance at scale.

What you will do

  • Support clients in the UK and internationally as they improve FP&A processes and strengthen business outcomes.
  • Use finance expertise to help shape better strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and commercial decision support.
  • Contribute to transformation programmes that use technology and digital enablement to improve the quality, speed, and efficiency of FP&A work.
  • Take part in FP&A process assessments, redesign activity, and implementation projects, identifying opportunities to simplify and modernise ways of working.
  • Help define future-state FP&A processes, control structures, and operating model improvements, and support the implementation of those changes.
  • Prepare process documentation, update standard operating procedures, and help build improvement roadmaps.
  • Work with team leadership to develop relationships with FP&A technology solutions and vendors, including ERP analytics modules, reporting tools, data extraction tools, and platforms such as OneStream, Board, and Anaplan.
  • Use knowledge of technology products and their strengths and limitations to support innovation and automation in FP&A.
  • Apply AI within transformation programmes where it can add value.
  • Support business development by helping to grow the sales pipeline for FP&A services and solutions.
  • Assist with pre-sales work, including proposal writing, preparation of client pitch materials, and participation in client presentations.
  • Contribute to proposition development for FP&A and help create internal tools, templates, and accelerators for the wider team.

What the team and role are about

You would be joining a talented group that designs, sells, and delivers end-to-end finance transformation solutions. The work is centred on helping clients improve FP&A through a combination of finance knowledge, process improvement, and technology adoption. The role also involves building trusted relationships with FP&A stakeholders and contributing to Capgemini’s wider transformation and commercial efforts.

What you need

  • A degree in Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
  • At least five years of FP&A experience.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools, ERP systems, and planning platforms such as SAP, OneStream, Board, and Anaplan.
  • A strong record of delivering transformation across FP&A and finance processes.
  • Experience of FP&A work in one or more of the following sectors: consumer products, retail, manufacturing, life sciences, telecommunications, or media.
  • The ability to build close, trusted relationships with FP&A stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of best-practice finance and accounting processes supported by automation and technology.
