This is a senior consulting opportunity within Capgemini Invent’s cloud advisory capability, focused on helping clients reshape their cloud operating models so they are more automated, more data-driven, and ready for AI-enabled ways of working. The role sits at the intersection of cloud transformation, service management, organizational change, and emerging AI practices, with a strong emphasis on practical delivery and measurable business outcomes.

You will work with clients across different industries to assess how their current cloud operating models function, identify where they can be improved, and design future-state models that better support modern cloud adoption. The work is hands-on and spans technology, operating model design, service management, and change, with particular attention on how generative AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation are changing the way organizations run cloud services.

What you will do

  • Advise clients on the operational and organizational consequences of cloud transformation, and help shape digitally enabled business models built on cloud and AI-ready operating principles.
  • Review existing cloud operating models through assessments and audits, identifying opportunities to improve standardization, automation, data flow, and readiness for AI-supported operations.
  • Turn assessment findings into future-state operating model designs, including service management processes and organizational structures that are practical, measurable, and aligned to automation-first and AI-ready approaches.
  • Design target cloud operating models and service management frameworks that reflect the client’s strategic direction and cloud maturity.
  • Define future processes across service delivery, governance, and operational workflows so they can be measured and adapted over time.
  • Monitor the performance and maturity of cloud operating model changes using operational metrics, service data, and insights, then recommend improvements.
  • Help introduce intelligent monitoring, service analytics, and AIOps-style practices where they fit the client’s needs.
  • Use strategy, service management, agile delivery, DevOps, business process mapping, and organizational design skills to deliver business outcomes enabled by cloud and digital transformation.
  • Support the adoption of automation, intelligent workflows, and AI-assisted operations within broader transformation programmes.
  • Work across all levels of the client organization to design, innovate, and implement cloud transformation initiatives while contributing to the growth of the consulting practice.
  • Advise on practical uses of large language models, copilot tools, and agentic AI in cloud operating models, including service management automation, intelligent triage, and AI-supported decision-making.
  • Help clients think through AI governance topics, including data quality and transparency.
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and event hosting.
  • Support internal practice development through campaign work, think tanks, whitepapers, recruitment, team activities, and offering development.
  • Take part in learning and development activities, including training and certifications that support your growth and the firm’s evolving skills needs.

What the role asks for

  • Experience helping businesses transform through technology and change the way they operate.
  • Comfort working in a technology-led environment and practical experience in some of the following: ITIL V4 and/or V5 best practices, including incident, change, problem, and service desk management, with an interest in how these processes evolve through automation and AI-enabled tooling.
  • An ITIL V4 and/or V5 Foundation qualification, or a higher-level ITIL certification, is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms, plus an understanding of how they integrate into cloud operating models and ITSM workflows.
  • Interest in agentic AI patterns and how autonomous agents are starting to reshape IT operations and service delivery.
  • Experience with DevOps methods, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and modern delivery pipelines.
  • Ability to manage and architect solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
  • Knowledge of cloud security good practice and compliance requirements so that cloud environments and automated services remain secure, resilient, and aligned to standards and regulations.
  • Experience in a major consulting firm, or industry experience supported by a consulting background.
  • Proven success in a matrixed organization and the ability to gain support and commitment from peers when selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience building propositions and helping deliver them.
  • Curiosity and continuous learning in AI, demonstrated through certifications, personal projects, published ideas, community participation, or internal practice contributions.
  • Ability to support business development using the organization’s existing relationships, company relationships, and your own network.
  • The role is aimed at experienced professionals at consultant or senior consultant level.
  • The position is permanent and based in the UK, with listed locations in London, Manchester, and Glasgow.
