Amazon is looking for a strategic communications professional to join its International Stores Communications Hub in London. The team supports the company’s Stores business across markets outside the United States, covering Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. In this central hub role, you will help shape communications strategy for international Stores priorities, create messaging and playbooks that can be adapted locally, and work closely with country-based communications teams to deliver programmes at scale.

The role sits at the centre of some of Amazon’s most visible Stores topics, including major shopping events such as Prime Day and Black Friday, category and selection areas such as Fashion, Beauty, and Everyday Essentials, and shopping innovations powered by AI. You will manage both forward-looking and issue-led communications, build efficient ways to coordinate international programmes, and provide senior leaders with strategic advice. The position requires strong collaboration with communications partners in the US and in-country teams, as well as with colleagues in Marketing, Category, and Product, while managing a wide range of stakeholders across different regions and organisational boundaries.

What you will do

  • Develop centralised PR and communications strategies, core messages, narrative frameworks, and campaign playbooks for priority Stores topics that can be adapted across multiple regions.
  • Partner with communications teams in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, and Asia Pacific to localise and execute programmes, balancing consistency with country-level relevance.
  • Serve as the communications lead for assigned subject areas and provide strategic counsel to senior executives.
  • Manage proactive media activity, including launches, milestone announcements, and opportunities for executive spokespeople, as well as reactive responses to media questions and issues.
  • Create and implement scalable coordination systems such as playbooks, toolkits, calendars, and processes to support business-to-consumer communications across up to 29 countries.
  • Work with US communications counterparts and global leads to align on worldwide strategy, messaging, and timing.
  • Coordinate announcements and joint initiatives with third-party business partners, brands, and customers.
  • Draft and oversee approvals for press materials, statements, talking points, and other external-facing messaging.
  • Track industry developments, competitor activity, and media sentiment to inform communications planning and identify opportunities.
  • Contribute to broader team planning, including quarterly business reviews, annual planning cycles, and cross-functional planning inputs.
