What you will be doing

• Building and maintaining low-level embedded firmware for cellular and RF systems.
• Supporting protocol stack implementation work across the embedded software layers, including functionality from layer 1 through layer 3.
• Contributing to software that spans RF driver development, DSP-related algorithms, and cellular communications logic.
• Working on systems that must perform reliably in demanding, mission-critical environments.
• Helping develop platforms that support multiple cellular standards, from 2G through 5G.
• Collaborating within a specialist engineering team that covers the full product stack, from hardware through to system-level design.

What the employer is looking for

• Strong experience writing embedded firmware in C.
• Background working with cellular technologies, ideally across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, or with a solid grasp of 3GPP standards.
• Good knowledge of DSP and signal-processing concepts.
• Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, GPIO, and DMA.
• Prior exposure to protocol stack development, particularly at layers 1 to 3, would be beneficial.
• Experience with RF systems would also be an advantage.
• An interest in highly technical embedded, cellular, and DSP-focused engineering work.
