GTM Engineer Overview

Company Name Thirdfort
Job Role GTM Engineer
Qualifications Not Specified
Category IT Jobs
Job Type Full Time
Location London

Thirdfort is hiring a GTM Engineer to help build and run the systems that power its go-to-market motion. This is not a role focused on keeping a CRM tidy; it is about creating the operational engine behind commercial growth. The position sits within the TechOps team and works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, with Salesforce at the centre of the stack and HubSpot, Zendesk, data flows, automations, and AI agents all connected around it.

Thirdfort’s mission is to help protect society from fraud and money laundering. The company has already helped safeguard more than 3 million people during major life events and works to make anti-fraud checks faster, safer, and less manual for businesses and their clients. Its platform supports regulated professionals such as lawyers, estate agents, and accountants with app-based document verification, facial recognition, open banking, and secure fund transfer checks. The business is FCA regulated and backed by more than $33m in funding from well-known fintech investors and founders.

What you will do

  • Design and launch automation and AI-based workflows across the commercial funnel, including enrichment, routing, handoffs, and reporting, so that repetitive work is replaced by systems that run reliably in the background.
  • Select the right implementation approach for each problem, whether that means using native Salesforce functionality, n8n, APIs, or LLMs, and decide carefully when a process should be fully automated and when human oversight is still needed.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of Salesforce and the wider commercial technology environment, covering configuration, fields, layouts, flows, permissions, security, and overall platform health, and using Apex when a deeper build is required.
  • Maintain commercial data quality by defining hygiene standards, removing duplicates, protecting data integrity, and carrying out audits and remediation across the systems that feed the commercial team.
  • Run the day-to-day support process for the commercial stack, including triaging issues, fixing problems, and keeping stakeholders informed in a clear and timely way.
  • Deliver commercial tooling projects to agreed scope and deadlines, working with commercial leaders to shape how the stack should develop over time.
  • Improve the connections between Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success so that information moves cleanly between teams and manual handoffs are eliminated.
  • Work with the TechOps Lead to help define Thirdfort’s AI direction and serve as the internal champion for AI use within commercial teams, bringing practical lessons back into the wider TechOps function.

What the company is looking for

  • Background in GTM operations, revenue operations, or another technical role closely related to commercial systems.
  • Roughly two or more years in a high-growth SaaS environment, with a history of improving commercial processes through systems and automation rather than only providing support.
  • Clear evidence that you have built useful solutions before, such as automations, integrations, agents, internal tools, or other systems that others now rely on.
  • Strong Salesforce administration experience, including having owned an org and working deeply on the backend with configuration, flows, permissions, and platform health.
  • Working knowledge of Apex and the ability to use it when appropriate.
  • Comfort connecting different tools through APIs, webhooks, and no-code platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier, plus light scripting where it adds value.
  • Hands-on experience across a modern GTM stack, including CRM, enrichment, sales engagement, conversation intelligence, and AI workflow tools, along with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Confidence using AI tools already in your work, with extra value for candidates who have built AI into operational workflows such as enrichment, automated QA, or agents and can explain the business impact.
  • A systems-thinking approach that treats processes as something to redesign, not merely maintain, with attention to data capture, edge cases, and the people who use the process.
  • Good judgement about when to build a quick bespoke solution and when to invest in a more durable long-term fix.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong dislike of messy or unreliable data.
  • A self-starter mindset that focuses on owning outcomes, balancing support work with project delivery without needing someone to organise your week, and being comfortable as the sole owner of these systems with support from TechOps.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work comfortably with both commercial and technical stakeholders, translating vague ideas into practical systems.
