Amazon is looking for an experienced communications leader to join its International Stores Communications team in London. The role sits within a central hub that supports communications for two major consumer businesses: Prime membership and Delivery Experience. These programmes are important to Amazon’s international growth, customer loyalty, and brand reputation, and the successful candidate will shape how they are communicated across more than 29 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
In this position, you will own the international communications strategy for both businesses and provide the framework that local communications teams use to adapt and execute messaging in their own markets. You will act as the main topic lead for Prime and Delivery Experience internationally, setting the direction for both planned and reactive communications. The role also serves as a bridge between global communications leadership and in-country teams, helping ensure that strategy, execution, and decision-making stay aligned across regions.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires close work with US-based communications partners, senior business stakeholders, and teams across the company. You will influence strategic choices that affect Amazon’s reputation, manage a small direct team, and support a broader network of communicators across many markets.
What you will do
- Lead the international story and market positioning for Prime and Delivery Experience, keeping messaging consistent and strategically aligned across all regions.
- Develop and execute centralized communications strategies, messaging, and campaigns for Amazon Prime and Delivery Experience internationally.
- Serve as the communications specialist for these businesses and advise senior executives at Director and Vice President level.
- Bring the international communications perspective into global leadership discussions and forums.
- Drive proactive media activity, including launch communications, consumer campaigns, executive speaking opportunities, and cross-team amplification.
- Make high-confidence communications decisions in fast-moving situations where there is reputational risk.
- Manage media enquiries, issue response, and crisis communications.
- Partner with US and global communications colleagues to align on worldwide strategy while ensuring plans can be adapted for local markets.
- Coordinate communications across functions such as marketing, creator teams, legal, and policy so that all stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
- Build long-term communications plans that reflect business cycles, product roadmaps, and international expansion priorities.
- Track industry developments, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform communications planning.
- Set up measurement approaches to assess communications impact and guide future improvements.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of two.
- Provide strategic direction, standards, and coordination support to in-country communicators across more than 29 markets.

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives.
- Creative problem-solving ability and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and build trust across different geographies.
