What you will do

What the role requires
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Substantial software engineering experience, including at least 8 years working with software development, system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Deep machine learning and technical strategy experience, including at least 7 years leading technical project direction and improving large-scale ML infrastructure such as deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical leadership capacity overseeing projects, together with 5 years of people management or team leadership experience.
- Experience in one or more relevant ML areas, such as media generation, reinforcement learning or other sequential decision-making systems, ML infrastructure, or another specialized machine learning field.
- Experience working with generative AI research or building applications that use generative AI.
- Ability to evaluate model performance, analyze outcomes, and implement improvements based on those results.
- Hands-on familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
- A history of shipping software products quickly and effectively.
- Contributions to open-source software projects.
- Strong leadership qualities for guiding machine learning engineering teams in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort working in settings where early-stage product development, scaling to production, and close collaboration with research are all important.
