This opportunity is for an experienced Salesforce Architect to join a major global technology and business transformation organisation in a hybrid working setup. The role is centred on designing and delivering advanced Salesforce solutions for an enterprise environment, with a particular emphasis on the banking sector. What you will do
- Take ownership of the design and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring they are fit for purpose in a large-scale business setting.
- Help define the long-term Salesforce platform strategy so it supports organisational goals and encourages innovation.
- Build and maintain an architecture roadmap that covers data models, system integrations, and customisation approaches.
- Design robust, secure, and scalable solutions across Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Prepare technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and data-flow diagrams to support solution delivery and governance.
- Review proposed architectures and confirm that they follow established best practices.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams, including coaching and guidance on design patterns and implementation standards.
- Assess Salesforce-related technologies and tools, then recommend the most appropriate options for business needs.
- Define and uphold development standards, architectural controls, and governance practices for Salesforce delivery.
- Design and implement complex integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
- Create data migration strategies and help ensure that data remains accurate, complete, and reliable.
- Design and optimise data models so they meet business requirements and performance expectations.
- Apply strong data governance and security practices across Salesforce solutions and connected systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to gather requirements and turn them into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
- Run workshops to capture requirements and align stakeholders around proposed approaches.
- Ensure solutions meet relevant security and compliance obligations, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Design security measures that protect sensitive information and help identify potential vulnerabilities.

- Substantial experience in a Salesforce Architect, Salesforce Designer, or equivalent senior solution design position.
- Strong experience in the banking domain, or in another highly regulated enterprise environment where Salesforce architecture must support complex business needs.

- Proven ability to design enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions that are secure, scalable, and resilient.
- Experience working across multiple Salesforce clouds and understanding how they integrate within a broader architecture.

- Experience conducting architecture reviews and ensuring adherence to best practice and governance standards.
- Strong integration experience, including connecting Salesforce with other enterprise systems.
- Experience with data migration, data modelling, data quality, and data governance.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical designs.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to varied audiences.
- Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating across business and technical teams.
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements relevant to Salesforce implementations, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Ability to identify risks and design controls that protect sensitive data.
- Experience mentoring and guiding development teams.

Working arrangement
The role follows a hybrid model. Day-to-day working will vary depending on the needs of the role and the business, and will involve a mix of company offices, client sites, and home working. The position is not fully remote, and you should expect that you will not be able to work from home all of the time.
