Amazon Ads sits at the point where advertising meets e-commerce, giving advertisers access to a broad set of advertising options across Amazonâs mobile and desktop experiences, its own devices, and the Amazon DSP. The teamâs view is that effective advertising should improve the customer experience while also delivering strong returns for advertising partners.
The business is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join a newly created Agency Account Management team focused on strengthening relationships with major agency partners. The role calls for both strategic thinking and consultative digital advertising expertise, with the aim of improving the impact and value delivered to advertisers who work through agencies. You will use Amazonâs proprietary data to shape customized strategies across the Amazon Ads product portfolio, aligning recommendations to each customerâs business objectives.
This position plays a central role in customer success by working closely with teams across agency development, ad tech, sales, creative, and operations. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys solving difficult commercial problems, can interpret data to produce clear recommendations, and is motivated by improving performance, renewing campaigns, and uncovering additional revenue opportunities. Because the role is client-facing, strong presentation and selling skills are essential, along with the confidence to challenge existing thinking and introduce new perspectives that can drive incremental revenue.
What you will do
- Build customized proposals for customers using a strong understanding of Amazon Adsâ full-funnel advertising products and solutions.
- Deliver against, and ideally surpass, revenue targets for the agency account(s) you manage.
- Meet the non-revenue goals and objectives assigned to your role.
- Take full ownership of account management for the assigned agency and develop trusted relationships with the main contacts.
- Combine first-party and third-party insights to create recommendations that either generate revenue or improve customer satisfaction with Amazon Ads products.
- Act as the customerâs advocate inside Amazon and make effective use of internal teams and resources to support customer success.
- Train and advise agencies on performance metrics, category trends, strategic approaches, and consumer insights, using existing or tailored analysis to help unlock more business.
- Work with cross-functional partners to support innovation and deliver strong outcomes for clients.
- Use analytical thinking to identify solutions to complex business issues and turn those insights into practical actions.
- Drive campaign renewals and identify opportunities for additional spend and growth.
What we are looking for
- Experience in digital advertising, product marketing, consulting, business development, or another role that involves direct customer interaction.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding sales revenue goals.
- Strong communication skills, both in writing and speaking, plus the ability to present ideas effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, technology-led company, or a proven ability to juggle multiple assignments while staying committed to deadlines.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
- Experience building customer relationships and influencing important decision-makers.
- Ability to solve complicated problems using quantitative analysis and to develop clear, actionable recommendations based on data.
- Extensive experience in media sales, agency sales, or ad tech sales.
- Experience working in business development with media agencies is desirable.
- Experience in digital media, including display and search advertising, campaign optimization, analytics platforms, client management, and business development, is also desirable.
