Amazon’s Brand Innovation Lab is seeking a highly creative conceptual art director who can develop standout campaigns for a broad range of brands across European markets. This role is centered on building memorable customer experiences across both digital and physical channels, using Amazon’s ecosystem as a creative platform. The work spans ideation through launch, with a strong emphasis on turning briefs, constraints, data, and insights into original brand ideas that are both inventive and effective.

This is a permanent position based in London. The role calls for someone who is equally comfortable with big-picture concepting and hands-on execution, and who can shape the full experience from the first idea to the final delivered asset. The ideal candidate will combine strong art direction and design ability with an understanding of UX, allowing them to create campaigns and experiences that feel polished, useful, and fresh.

What you will do

  • Develop original campaign concepts and art direction for global brands, then bring those ideas to life through execution.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, program managers, developers, strategists, producers, and other partners to create customer-focused solutions that also meet advertiser goals.
  • Lead projects independently from the initial brief through final delivery, while working closely with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners.
  • Create a wide range of creative outputs, which may include video, interface concepts for voice and screen, interaction models, prototypes, and interactive advertising experiences.
  • Use data and audience insights to inform campaign strategy, creative direction, and the visual and experiential design of the work.
  • Build templates, systems, and new campaign approaches for brand activations that solve customer problems across Amazon and beyond Amazon platforms.
  • Deliver strong art direction and high-quality design across multiple Amazon touchpoints.
  • Present concepts and campaign thinking to clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders in a clear and persuasive way.
  • Generate ideas for a range of media, including film, print, digital, out-of-home, experiential, and social channels.
  • Handle several projects at once while staying on budget and meeting deadlines.
  • Take a proactive role in shaping new products, ideas, and initiatives that improve the customer experience.
  • Review work in progress, respond to feedback, and help ensure the final output meets the highest creative standards.

Day-to-day context

  • You will work with brands, media partners, and creative agencies on innovative campaigns across sectors such as automotive, finance, energy, and telecommunications.
  • Projects may range from brand experiences tied to documentary films on Prime Video to branded experiences for Alexa and other Amazon surfaces.
  • You will regularly present campaign ideas to brand clients and their agency partners.
  • You will review edits and work in progress with collaborators, incorporating feedback to refine the creative.
  • You will also contribute to proactive team initiatives and help bring new ideas to life.

About the team

The Brand Innovation Lab is Amazon Ads’ innovation-focused team, dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind campaigns and activations for global advertisers. The team uses the full Amazon canvas, including custom landing pages, Alexa, Fire TV, Twitch, Prime Video, and more, to build campaigns that reach millions of customers across digital channels and in the real world. This group works specifically on Prime Video IP and brands, developing co-branded full-funnel campaigns.

What you need

  • Experience developing compelling creative strategy and delivering strong execution in an agency or in-house creative environment.
  • Advanced familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, along with a basic understanding of UX design and UX tools such as Webflow.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to tell stories interactively and communicate ideas clearly.
  • Strong organization, collaboration, and time-management skills.
  • A portfolio that shows highly creative, award-caliber campaign ideas delivered across multiple media, such as video, social, digital activations, radio, and outdoor.
  • A conceptual approach paired with strong design skills and an understanding of UX design.
  • Digital media experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to use insight to guide creative decisions.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop ideas for film, print, digital, out-of-home, experiential, and social formats.
  • Experience building effective working relationships with product, consumer research, and marketing teams to turn insights into creative strategy and execution.
  • Experience leading creative development from concept to final delivery.
  • Experience presenting creative work to senior executives.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working under aggressive deadlines.
  • Experience creating creative concepts and campaigns for brand partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Preferred knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Keynote.
