What the role involves

• Leading analytics work on executive-level initiatives from the first question through to a clear, actionable recommendation.

• Setting and maintaining standards for metric definitions, reconciliation between finance and operations, and data quality across the team.

• Presenting analysis and recommendations to senior leadership while demonstrating ownership and the ability to challenge ideas constructively and then commit to the chosen direction.

Experience and skills needed

• Proven ability to programmatically extract, transform, and clean very large datasets, including data at multi-terabyte scale.
• Practical experience with experimental design and statistical analysis.
• Experience working with AWS services and technologies.
• Strong scripting ability for automation, such as Python, along with advanced SQL capability.
• Understanding of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining methods.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between business needs and data solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience building visualizations in Tableau, QuickSight, or comparable tools.
• Background in the data and business intelligence domain.
• Preferred experience: managing work, analyzing outcomes, and communicating results to senior leadership.
