| Job Type | Full Time |
| Location | London |
This senior analytics role is focused on producing the business intelligence that company leaders actually use to run the business. The work centers on defining the right metrics, building dependable data products, and delivering analysis that directors and vice presidents rely on when the decisions are important and accuracy matters. The problems in this role are intentionally ambiguous and high impact, so the work goes beyond standard reporting: you will turn unclear business questions into measurable analysis, create the data foundation needed to answer them, and stand behind your methodology when senior stakeholders challenge the results.
The team places a strong value on analytical depth, careful logic, and metric definitions that can withstand scrutiny. This is a senior position on a group that works closely with business leaders, so the role offers direct exposure to executive decision-making and the chance to shape how the business measures performance.
What the role involves
- Leading analytics work on executive-level initiatives from the first question through to a clear, actionable recommendation.
- Building and owning the pipelines, models, and dashboards that support business decisions, with reliability treated as a core part of the job rather than an afterthought.
- Setting and maintaining standards for metric definitions, reconciliation between finance and operations, and data quality across the team.
- Mentoring other business intelligence engineers and helping improve the team’s approach to SQL, data modeling, and analytical rigor.
- Presenting analysis and recommendations to senior leadership while demonstrating ownership and the ability to challenge ideas constructively and then commit to the chosen direction.
The role is especially suited to someone who enjoys difficult, consequential problems and wants their work to have a visible effect on leadership decisions. It also offers room to establish best practices and grow into wider technical leadership responsibilities.
Experience and skills needed
- Proven ability to programmatically extract, transform, and clean very large datasets, including data at multi-terabyte scale.
- Practical experience with experimental design and statistical analysis.
- Experience working with AWS services and technologies.
- Strong scripting ability for automation, such as Python, along with advanced SQL capability.
- Understanding of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining methods.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between business needs and data solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience building visualizations in Tableau, QuickSight, or comparable tools.
- Background in the data and business intelligence domain.
- Preferred experience: managing work, analyzing outcomes, and communicating results to senior leadership.
