Senior III-V Process Engineer Overview

This is an opportunity to join an early-stage company developing semiconductor technology for optical communication systems. The role is centered on taking advanced III-V process work from prototype through to full-scale production, with a strong emphasis on building manufacturing capability for the company’s first product family and helping shape the next generation of products.

What you will do

• Take a leading role in scaling production of the company’s first product range from development into manufacturing.
• Contribute to the development of a new product range aimed at optical communication applications.
• Work at the junction of research and development, operations, engineering, and external foundry partners to keep technical and manufacturing activities aligned.
• Ensure that newly developed epitaxial layers, process flows, and test approaches can be transferred successfully from in-house prototyping to volume production at foundry sites.
• Support the transfer of products into high-volume manufacturing and help drive the practical execution of that transition.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, especially those involving III-V materials and technologies.
• Proven experience taking products from development into high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience working closely with foundries and managing the technical aspects of product transfer.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams and external partners.
• Management skills, indicating the need to coordinate, influence, or lead activity across functions.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or another relevant subject area.
