This role is for a senior Solutions Engineering leader who will guide the EMEA team and help drive the companyâs AI customer support platform into large, complex organizations. The position is designed for someone who can think strategically about go-to-market direction while also staying close to the work as a hands-on technical leader. The successful candidate will help shape how the business engages with major brands, build a strong and scalable team, and turn technical capability into measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
The role sits at the intersection of pre-sales leadership, solution design, and customer strategy. It requires someone who can operate as both a coach and an individual contributor, supporting important deals directly when needed while also developing the teamâs skills, processes, and repeatable approaches. The environment is fast-moving, highly collaborative, and centered on helping customers adopt AI-powered support in a way that creates real business value.
What you will do
- Set and continuously refine the strategic direction for the Solutions Engineering organization, including how the team approaches the market.
- Lead, develop, and expand a high-performing Solutions Engineering team across different regions and core industries.
- Work as a player-coach by contributing directly to key opportunities while also building the capability of the broader team.
- Support complex sales cycles with technical expertise, solution architecture, product demonstrations, evaluation support, and commercial guidance.
- Serve as a dependable technical advisor and senior point of contact for large customers, including executive stakeholders.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, Engineering/R&D, Success, and Services to create vertical-specific go-to-market motions and solution plans.
- Help create a customer-focused experience throughout the pre-sales journey, from outbound engagement through implementation.
- Lead discovery, design, and delivery of tailored technical solutions, including proof-of-concepts and business value assessments.
- Develop reusable frameworks, scalable playbooks, and industry-specific technical assets that can be used across the organization.
- Bring customer needs and market feedback back into the company to influence product direction and prioritization.
- Represent the company and the Solutions Engineering function in external meetings, executive discussions, and strategic events.
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer leaders and explain how AI capabilities translate into practical business impact.
What the company is looking for
- At least five years of pre-sales experience in a role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a similar individual contributor position.
- At least three years of experience leading technical pre-sales teams, with a record of hiring, coaching, mentoring, and managing strong performers.
- Experience selling AI, data, or other technically complex products is preferred; if not, the candidate should show strong curiosity about AI and use it regularly in their work.
- Comfort working in ambiguous situations and the ability to stay focused and effective under pressure while helping customers solve difficult problems.
- A humble, collaborative attitude and a genuine desire to help others, along with a willingness to learn whatever is needed to support the team and customers.
- A strong record of meeting revenue goals and producing accurate forecasts while still prioritizing team development.
- Willingness to travel internationally around once per month on average.
- Ability to adjust working hours to collaborate with colleagues in the US and APAC regions.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model from the London office three days each week.
- Authorisation to work in the country where the role is based, with the understanding that the company sponsors immigration for some roles and welcomes applicants who may need sponsorship.
