What you will do

• Support the accounting and reporting activities connected to Prime Video’s APAC operations.
• Own finance-related processes end to end, working closely with both finance and business stakeholders.
• Review internal control design, assess whether controls are operating effectively, and help create new controls and processes for new or expanding business activities.
• Use professional judgment to help ensure financial results are reported correctly and that the right decisions are made when issues need resolution.
• Lead projects, provide accounting guidance, and serve as a main contact point for finance and business partners who need help solving problems.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance and business processes through automation, standardization, simplification, and analysis.
• Work across multiple priorities in a changing environment while maintaining strong communication and a high level of execution.
• Influence stakeholders to move work forward and support effective decision-making.

What Amazon is looking for

• A qualified accountant with ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or a similar professional credential.
• Experience creating process improvements using automation and analytical insight.
• A track record of finding, leading, and delivering improvements to finance or business tools and workflows.
• Experience with monthly close cycles, recurring financial reporting, and related analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting frameworks and reporting rules, including US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong analytical capability.
• Experience gained in a fast-paced technology company, startup environment, or another complex organization.
• Demonstrated success in resolving multiple difficult operational and accounting challenges.
• Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and spoken communication.
• Experience working with Oracle.
• Comfort working through ambiguity, prioritizing competing demands, and delivering to a high standard.
• The ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across functions.
