Job Type Full Time
Location London

This senior consulting role sits within Capgemini Invent’s Intelligent Industry practice and focuses on supply chain and global business services transformation. The position is aimed at an experienced transformation leader who can guide workstreams, manage delivery teams, and help clients redesign supply chain services so they operate with better cost efficiency, stronger control, improved service quality, and greater scalability. The work spans the full transformation lifecycle, from early diagnostics and process review through to operating model design, transition planning, implementation support, and continuous improvement.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of consulting workstreams on supply chain GBS transformation programmes and ensure delivery is high quality, practical, and aligned to client goals.
  • Lead end-to-end engagements that may include current-state diagnostics, process assessment, future-state operating model design, service management, transition planning, performance improvement, and digitally enabled transformation.
  • Assess existing supply chain and GBS processes to identify where standardisation, simplification, and efficiency gains can be made.
  • Help design operating models that support a GBS environment and improve the way supply chain services are delivered.
  • Support implementation planning across service transitions, governance, KPI and SLA design, stabilisation, and ongoing improvement.
  • Convert detailed analysis into concise, decision-ready recommendations and executive-level outputs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders across supply chain, operations, and GBS teams.
  • Contribute to business growth by supporting market development, proposition refinement, client campaigns, bids, proposals, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Create reusable delivery methods, tools, viewpoints, and assets that strengthen the practice’s offering in the market.
  • Work closely with account and programme leadership to manage risks, address issues, and keep delivery on track.
  • Support and coach junior colleagues, helping to build team capability and develop future leaders.
  • Take part in wider practice-building activity, including internal campaigns, think-tanks, whitepapers, recruitment support, team events, and offer development.
  • Contribute to learning and development activity for yourself and your teams, including training and certifications where appropriate.

What the role is looking for

  • Significant experience in consulting and/or transformation delivery within supply chain, GBS, shared services, or operating model redesign.
  • A proven record of leading supply chain GBS workstreams or programmes with a clear focus on business-led transformation and operational improvement.
  • Confidence working in a matrixed organisation and collaborating across multiple disciplines to deliver strong outcomes.
  • Experience supporting proposition development, account growth, and sales activity in a consulting or transformation setting.
  • The ability to generate consulting revenue of around £1m by drawing on existing organisational relationships, wider company relationships, and your own network.
  • Practical supply chain expertise in areas such as planning support, order management, logistics support, inventory, master data, or performance reporting.
  • Strong understanding of service governance, process standardisation, KPI and SLA design, transition delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coaching junior team members and helping build capability within both client and consulting teams.
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience across sectors such as consumer products, life sciences, automotive, or similar is useful, as the role offers growth opportunities across these industries.
