The Workplace Incident Management team is looking for an investigator to join its EMEA operation. This is an individual contributor position based in London and reporting to the Regional WIM Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role focuses on responding to workplace incidents involving people whose behavior is inappropriate, concerning, abusive, or threatening, and on helping resolve those situations while supporting the people affected.
What you will do
- Take ownership of incident response work for the EMEA region and help manage the team’s case load.
- Work closely with partners across Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal, site security, and intelligence functions to evaluate incidents and decide on the right response.
- Carry out detailed threat assessments and investigations into workplace incidents involving internal or external individuals.
- Manage several cases at once, balancing priorities, deadlines, and changing circumstances.
- Interview impacted employees, witnesses, and people of interest using appropriate interviewing approaches.
- Review CCTV, access control information, and other available evidence sources to understand what happened, identify possible causes, and determine who may have been involved.
- Use Microsoft and Adobe tools, along with a cloud-based case management system, to document assessments and investigations.
- Produce factual, organized, and timely reports, assessments, and presentations for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Escalate threats, risks, and concerns to the appropriate internal or external parties, including law enforcement where required by law.
- Help implement protective measures that address the concern while supporting the individuals involved.
What the role calls for
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in incident management, threat management, corporate investigations, law enforcement, security operations, crisis management, or a similar area involving threat assessment, workplace investigations, or incident response.
- Hands-on experience in Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management, investigations, incident management, security operations, social work, or law enforcement.
- Proven ability to handle multiple cases with different levels of urgency at the same time.
- Strong analytical ability and good judgment, particularly when working under pressure or in stressful situations.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- A strong sense of integrity and a genuine motivation to help people.
- Comfort working with multidisciplinary stakeholders and security partners.
- Experience with Microsoft and Adobe products and with cloud-based case management tools.
Preferred background
- Experience in facility or corporate security management, law enforcement, risk management, legal work, or a related sector.
