Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n

  • Oversee and manage a team of Security Engineers and Software Engineers within the London-based Proactive Security team.<\/li>\n
  • Define project goals and objectives while providing ongoing support and development for team members.<\/li>\n
  • Foster a diverse and skilled group of engineers, facilitating their growth and exposure to scaling technology teams.<\/li>\n
  • Create a supportive learning environment, acting as a mentor for engineers and emerging tech leads.<\/li>\n
  • Enhance and implement effective processes and values to scale operations efficiently.<\/li>\n
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers involved in the development and deployment of large-scale services globally.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including product, infrastructure, design, and operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h3>\n

    • Demonstrated leadership experience as a Senior Engineering Manager, specifically in Security Product or Security Engineering.<\/li>\n
    • Experience managing both managerial and individual contributor roles.<\/li>\n
    • Strong technical background with architectural knowledge and problem-solving skills, particularly in cloud-native infrastructure.<\/li>\n
    • Prior experience as a Software Engineer or Security Engineer, particularly in building security products at scale.<\/li>\n
    • A collaborative management style that encourages team optimization and supports career growth.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to set clear objectives and provide technical advice to ensure team success.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in team building, recruitment, and collaboration with recruiting teams.<\/li>\n
    • Proven track record in improving a company’s infrastructure security posture.<\/li>\n
    • Broad technical expertise in various infrastructure and security domains within large production environments.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in distributed systems and development platforms using languages such as Java, Scala, Kotlin, Golang, or Python.<\/li>\n
    • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure management, particularly in AWS and\/or GCP.<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills to influence partners and articulate complex ideas effectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
