This role sits within AWS\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Worldwide Specialist Organization focused on Core Services and Advanced Compute, where the team builds and executes go-to-market plans for complex customer needs and helps turn AWS capabilities into large-scale business outcomes. The position is centered on high performance computing and accelerated compute across the UK and Ireland, with a strong emphasis on helping advanced customers choose AWS for demanding workloads in scientific computing, engineering simulation, financial trading, and related areas.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate will work with highly technical and innovative customers that rely on HPC and accelerated compute instances to improve performance, scale efficiently, and achieve better price-to-performance. The role also involves collaborating with software vendors that support these workloads, as well as AWS service teams, partners, customers, and research or academic institutions to strengthen AWS\u00e2\u0080\u0099s position as the best environment for running HPC clusters and other advanced workloads.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Own and drive the regional go-to-market approach for HPC and accelerated compute in the UK and Ireland, coordinating closely with sales, partners, marketing, and other specialist colleagues.<\/li>\n
  • Apply deep subject-matter knowledge to understand the most important customer pain points and help account teams address them effectively.<\/li>\n
  • Lead initiatives that grow markets and accounts, create scalable adoption programs, and surface new opportunities within the specialist domain.<\/li>\n
  • Set and execute growth objectives for the geography, balancing revenue goals with other performance measures and ensuring targets are met or exceeded.<\/li>\n
  • Feed customer evidence and market trends back to global AWS teams so product and service roadmaps reflect real customer demand.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews, along with operational planning documents, for the relevant technical area and region.<\/li>\n
  • Drive regional scale through external partners and coordinate with solution architecture, business development, marketing, AWS partners, and training teams to launch customer acquisition programs and strategies.<\/li>\n
  • Work directly with software vendors, customers, AWS teams, partners, and research organizations to help make AWS the preferred platform for HPC clusters and advanced workloads.<\/li>\n
  • Support customers using accelerated compute for use cases such as CAE, CFD, EDA, quantitative trading, and machine-learning-enhanced scientific computing.<\/li>\n
  • Help customers and field teams identify the right AWS services and approaches for complex compute-heavy solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Experience with enterprise modernization and migration technologies such as mainframe, serverless, containers, or cloud operations.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with data and AI technologies such as AI\/ML, generative AI, analytics, databases, and\/or storage.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to analyze data and convert it into actionable business recommendations is preferred.<\/li>\n
    • Experience identifying, negotiating, and closing complex legal agreements is preferred.<\/li>\n
