This role is focused on ensuring the quality of Alexa+ across many countries and languages, with a strong emphasis on multilingual customer experience. It requires fluency in at least one European language, such as French, German, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, or Portuguese, because the work directly supports Alexa+ in more than 100 countries. The position sits within the Alexa Global Quality team and is centered on building and maintaining a culturally relevant, high-quality experience across voice, text, and visual interactions.<\/p>\n

The work involves solving difficult quality problems in multilingual conversational evaluation across multiple device surfaces and modalities. The team is developing advanced validation approaches that combine synthetic test creation, AI-based judgment, visual verification, and machine-learning-driven cultural relevance checks. In this role, you would help define how quality is measured and improved for international markets while making sure the experience remains both consistent and locally appropriate.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Take ownership of the quality strategy for Alexa\u00e2\u0080\u0099s multi-locale experience and define how quality should be tested across different features, endpoints, and languages.<\/li>\n
  • Work with engineers to determine the best technical approach for internationalisation testing and to shape the design of quality validation systems.<\/li>\n
  • Help build and improve agentic evaluation frameworks that cover synthetic test generation, multimodal response validation, and automated checks for linguistic and cultural accuracy.<\/li>\n
  • Carry out both strategic and practical quality work, including running complete test suites on your own and performing manual testing when needed.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor production quality trends and use the findings to drive improvements to the customer experience.<\/li>\n
  • Create reporting and metrics that show quality status, technical operations, and system performance across all supported locales.<\/li>\n
  • Develop automation and quality tools that make testing more efficient across a global organisation.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with product managers, country product managers, designers, engineers, locale specialists, and business teams to deliver a strong overall experience that balances business objectives, usability, and local customer expectations.<\/li>\n
  • Review automated test results across multiple locales and help triage quality issues that appear in production.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with engineers and locale experts to investigate, prioritise, and resolve defects before and after release.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the launch and ongoing improvement of Alexa+ for customers around the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Experience and skills needed<\/h3>\n

    • Strong knowledge of QA methods and tools, with demonstrated experience in a quality assurance engineering role.<\/li>\n

    • Practical experience with automation testing.<\/li>\n

    • Previous work as a Quality Assurance Engineer.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with Linux, embedded systems, consumer devices, or mobile applications.<\/li>\n

    • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more of the following European languages: French, German, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, or Portuguese.<\/li>\n
    • Preferred: familiarity with a modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, or Objective-C.<\/li>\n
