The role is designed for someone who can shape strategy, create structure, and lead a team through a period of rapid expansion while partnering closely with commercial, product, analytics, and global sales operations stakeholders.<\/p>\n<h3>What the role involves<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting the long-term direction for EU Sales Operations and ensuring the plan is aligned with worldwide Sales Ops priorities as well as the needs of the European commercial organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Leading a team of individual contributors, assigning clear ownership across workstreams, setting goals, and building accountability into day-to-day execution.<\/li>\n<li>Creating the team\u00e2\u0080\u0099s operating cadence, including planning cycles, recurring reporting, pipeline review routines, and performance tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Driving consistency across four European markets by standardising commercial structures, target-setting methods, and reporting definitions.<\/li>\n<li>Working with Product, BPA, and BI partners to define business requirements, decide which tooling and automation investments should be prioritised, and support adoption of systems such as Salesforce, AI-enabled solutions, and prospecting tools.<\/li>\n<li>Owning commercial reporting and analytics, including monthly and quarterly business review inputs, goal tracking at both individual contributor and division level, pipeline health analysis, and forward-looking insight generation.<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with US Sales Operations to align operating standards, shared tooling, and best practices across regions.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying capability gaps, operational friction, and productivity issues within the commercial organisation, then designing solutions that can scale.<\/li>\n<li>Representing EU Sales Operations in senior leadership settings and contributing to strategic planning, headcount planning, and investment decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Balancing strategic leadership with operational execution, including reviewing pipeline performance, removing blockers, and coaching team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Team and business context<\/h3>\n<p>EU Sales Operations supports commercial excellence for Amazon Shipping across four European geographies. The team works with commercial leaders on strategic planning, CRM and sales tooling, reporting and analytics, and commercial process improvement. The function is being expanded to match the scale and ambition of the wider EU commercial organisation, and this role will lead that growth. Time will be split between roadmap planning, stakeholder alignment, and team development on one hand, and hands-on work such as pipeline review, cross-functional issue resolution, and coaching individual contributors on the other. Internal partners include EU country commercial leaders, US Sales Ops, Product, BI and analytics teams, and Marketing. The role also involves regular contact with Director and VP-level leaders through weekly business reviews, monthly business reviews, and strategic planning forums.<\/p>\n<p>The main challenges in the role include improving the accuracy of commercial reporting, increasing sales process efficiency, driving CRM adoption, strengthening target-setting governance, and creating standardised ways of working across countries.<\/p>\n<h3>What you need to bring<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor\u00e2\u0080\u0099s degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, or a related subject.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive senior-level experience in sales operations, sales strategy, finance, business development, or a similar field.<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading a divisional sales operations team, or equivalent responsibility, in support of a medium-to-large, multi-country, high-tech sales organisation.<\/li>\n<li>Experience hiring, leading, and developing a high-performing team.<\/li>\n<li>Confidence working with senior stakeholders and contributing to leadership-level planning and decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of how to build operating rhythms, reporting frameworks, target-setting processes, and scalable commercial operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred background<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience building or implementing systems and tools used for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, or Salesforce automation.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in business process design.<\/li>\n<li>Experience scaling a business or organisation quickly while attracting, hiring, and retaining strong talent.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a high-growth technology company.<\/li>\n<li>A master\u00e2\u0080\u0099s degree, or an equivalent qualification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional information<\/h3>\n<p>Amazon says it is an equal opportunities employer and makes hiring decisions based on experience and skills.
