This is a senior systems engineering opportunity for an experienced C++ developer who wants to work on a performance-critical reasoning engine used on more than 60 million devices around the world. The role sits within a highly capable engineering group focused on core C++ development, where speed, correctness, and code quality are all treated as essential.<\/p>\n

What you will be doing<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Building and improving a core C++ system that must perform reliably at very high scale.<\/li>\n
  • Working on complex data processing and reasoning functionality.<\/li>\n
  • Designing and refining concurrent and multithreaded components.<\/li>\n
  • Improving memory efficiency and carrying out low-level optimisation work.<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring the system behaves correctly across Linux, Windows, and macOS.<\/li>\n
  • Handling system-level interactions when the solution needs to work closely with the operating system or platform internals.<\/li>\n
  • Contributing directly as a hands-on engineer in a role that is deeply technical and systems-oriented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Experience and skills needed<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Approximately 10 to 15 years of professional software development experience.<\/li>\n
    • Strong commercial background in modern C++, with C++17 or later specifically mentioned.<\/li>\n
    • Experience working on systems software or other performance-sensitive products.<\/li>\n
    • Solid practical knowledge of multithreading and concurrency.<\/li>\n
    • Comfort working close to the system, including memory management, operating system behaviour, and performance tuning.<\/li>\n
    • A strong habit of writing maintainable, high-quality code.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with low-level optimisation would strengthen an application.<\/li>\n
    • Exposure to high-performance backend systems would be useful.<\/li>\n
    • Experience from quant, trading, database, engine, gaming, or real-time systems would be relevant and welcomed.<\/li>\n
    • Cross-platform development experience would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
