Arm is looking for a highly capable and motivated graphics software engineer to join its Agile driver development group in Cambridge. The team works on important building blocks for the next generation of Mali GPU products and collaborates closely with a broad set of engineering specialists across Arm\u00e2\u0080\u0099s European design centres. This includes regular interaction with software engineers, hardware engineers, and architects, so the role sits at the centre of a highly cross-functional environment.<\/p>\n

The position focuses on creating and evolving the tooling that supports the full GPU development process. That includes work from the earliest stages of hardware design and performance modelling through to final verification. The software you help build will underpin the development of Arm\u00e2\u0080\u0099s GPU technology, so the role offers the chance to influence systems that are central to a widely used graphics platform. The work involves ownership of sophisticated software systems that connect GPU hardware, driver infrastructure, performance modelling, and live data-flow analysis.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of dependable, scalable tools that enable GPU driver development and hardware bring-up.<\/li>\n
  • Take part in technical discussions where complex problems are analysed, decomposed, and balanced against competing trade-offs with multiple partner teams.<\/li>\n
  • Review both design proposals and source code, while coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions integrate successfully and meet quality expectations.<\/li>\n
  • Build a detailed understanding of system-level needs and use that insight to help shape roadmap decisions.<\/li>\n
  • Work collaboratively with software and hardware teams to deliver solutions that are both innovative and practical.<\/li>\n
  • Support the Agile driver development team in producing key components for future Mali GPU products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Strong C and C++ programming skills, along with a solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals.<\/li>\n
