The role combines deep technical architecture expertise with business advisory responsibilities, and it is aimed at someone who can operate as a strategic counterpart to senior leaders at priority Global Systems Integrators across EMEA. In practice, the person in this role acts as a Google Cloud CTO for selected partners, helping steer joint strategy, define long-term technology commitments, and guide execution of complex business and technical plans.<\/p>\n<p>The wider Google Cloud organization supports customers around the world in modernizing their businesses with secure, reliable, and scalable cloud technology. The team works across the full technology stack, from infrastructure through applications and devices, and is focused on helping organizations of all sizes use technology to improve how they serve customers, employees, and partners. This role is part of that mission, with a strong emphasis on partner ecosystems, enterprise architecture, and strategic cloud adoption.<\/p>\n<h3>What you will do<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with priority GSIs in EMEA, working directly with their CTOs, lead architects, and practice leaders to win multi-year technology commitments with Google Cloud.<\/li>\n<li>Bring strong expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology to represent Google Cloud effectively in partner discussions, at industry events, and through online engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend integration approaches, partner-side enterprise architecture patterns, and the platform and application infrastructure needed to deliver complete solutions for highly complex GSI commercial agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Own the broader enterprise architecture relationship with GSI partners by coordinating closely with Google Cloud Platform customer engineers, principal architects, product managers, and technical specialists to create large-scale reusable assets.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the technical decision-maker for the most strategic funding opportunities tied to Gemini Enterprise AI.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the EMEA Partner Development Manager for each GSI to explain the full value of technical solutions and drive high-impact engagements across EMEA sub-regions and countries.<\/li>\n<li>Lead conversations and help direct the execution of joint business plans by combining technical judgment with commercial understanding.<\/li>\n<li>Travel as needed to customer locations, conferences, and other relevant events, with travel averaging roughly 50 percent of the time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What the role requires<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor\u00e2\u0080\u0099s degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.<\/li>\n<li>At least 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or in a comparable customer-facing technical position.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with cloud market analysis and with cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.<\/li>\n<li>Experience presenting to and engaging with both technical stakeholders and senior executives.<\/li>\n<li>Practical knowledge of modern AI approaches, generative AI, and data technologies, including the ability to evaluate technical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Strong ownership of outcomes, sound decision-making, comfort with ambiguous problems, and the ability to influence stakeholders at a deep technical level.<\/li>\n<li>English fluency, since Google notes that English proficiency is required for all roles unless the posting says otherwise.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate at a principal level and act as a strategic peer to Google Cloud leadership and partner executives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred experience and strengths<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Background in structured enterprise architecture practices.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with hybrid cloud environments and migration planning from on-premises systems to cloud deployments.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand industry-specific technology solutions and quickly adapt to new technologies, methods, and products in the cloud and IT space.<\/li>\n<li>Capability to work across functions to assemble and position solutions that combine multiple products into one coherent offering.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to influence audiences, identify opportunities for expansion within accounts, and drive growth conversations.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to influence GSI stakeholders, uncover expansion opportunities in partner accounts, and help secure fast agreement progress without partner-delivery escalations on major GSI-led deals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Team and environment<\/h3>\n<p>This is a principal-level role within Google Cloud\u00e2\u0080\u0099s partner architecture and strategic partnerships organization for EMEA. The position reports to the Head of Partner Architecture for GSIs and Strategic Partnerships in EMEA. It is designed for someone who can operate at the intersection of technical architecture, partner strategy, and business development, while collaborating closely with internal Google Cloud teams and external partner leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The role is based in London, UK, and is described as an advanced position.
