The team works on large UK and international commissions and has seen significant growth, creating the need for additional team members.<\/p>\n<h3>What you will do<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Take a leading role in the mechanical engineering contribution to projects from the earliest concept stages through to tender, construction, handover, and post-completion review.<\/li>\n<li>Work side by side with architects and other project team members to influence building form and ensure the mechanical strategy supports design quality, energy performance, and sustainability ambitions.<\/li>\n<li>Develop mechanical design approaches that incorporate current thinking around low-energy design, natural ventilation, sustainability, and net-zero carbon outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Design mechanical building systems such as air conditioning, heating, and natural and mechanical ventilation systems.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out design analysis and work with the wider team to improve system performance and refine engineering solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the creation of models, drawings, reports, and specifications needed to support project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines and with in-house specialists to ensure the mechanical design is fully integrated with the wider project.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise and coordinate the work of others, helping to guide project output and maintain quality.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and sustain relationships with clients and collaborators, supporting effective teamwork and project success.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to their development while continuing to build your own technical and leadership capability.<\/li>\n<li>Play an active part in delivering projects across sectors including arts and culture, commercial and mixed-use, science and industry, heritage and refurbishment, and low- and zero-carbon buildings.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to architecturally ambitious projects with prominent practices and developers in the UK and overseas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What the team is working on<\/h3>\n<p>The team\u00e2\u0080\u0099s current work spans a broad mix of building types and sector priorities, with particular focus on arts and cultural projects, commercial and mixed-use developments, science and industrial facilities, heritage and refurbishment work, and buildings with low- or zero-carbon ambitions.
