The position is an individual contributor role that partners closely with field leaders and site leadership teams to improve operational performance, organisational health, and the overall employee experience across assigned locations.<\/p>\n<p>The role is centred on site-level people leadership. It is responsible for turning organisational priorities into practical actions, using data to guide decisions, and working with campus leaders to strengthen culture, engagement, and performance. A major part of the job is owning the end-to-end employee experience at site level, including feedback channels, recognition activity, and the standards that shape trust and day-to-day working life.<\/p>\n<p>This position is based onsite at an Amazon facility and supports more than one site within a region. Regular movement between assigned locations is expected, so the role requires someone who is comfortable being present across multiple sites and maintaining a visible, hands-on approach.<\/p>\n<h3>What you will do<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Act as the People eXperience and Technology partner for the sites you support, working directly with field leaders and local leadership teams.<\/li>\n<li>Translate business and organisational priorities into clear, actionable plans that can be delivered at site level.<\/li>\n<li>Use evidence, metrics, and operational insight to help drive business goals and improve the employee experience.<\/li>\n<li>Own site-level employee experience mechanisms, recognition programmes, and workplace standards that influence engagement, trust, and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Create two-way communication between employees and leaders through tools and forums such as Voice of the Associate, roundtables, and GEMBA walks.<\/li>\n<li>Plan, deliver, and monitor engagement and recognition activity, including budgeting for appreciation initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Help create a workplace where employees feel safe, included, and treated fairly, including support for Employee Resource Groups and equitable talent practices.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a strong floor presence, gathering insight from the site and identifying early warning signs of disengagement or concern.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out regular site walks to review working conditions and ensure the workplace meets Amazon standards.<\/li>\n<li>Work with site leaders and safety teams to support consistent delivery of safety programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Lead local community-focused initiatives and collaborate with partners across the node, as well as Public Policy and Public Relations teams.<\/li>\n<li>Spot recurring issues, investigate root causes, and improve site effectiveness by helping ensure policies are applied consistently and fairly.<\/li>\n<li>Use data analysis to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and introduce proactive solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage the use of HR technology, AI tools, and self-service systems while still providing high-touch support when situations require it.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with site leadership to balance operational requirements with Amazon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s values and people priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Coach business leaders on people management topics such as performance feedback, team development, and employee relations.<\/li>\n<li>Support organisational change by reinforcing messages, addressing resistance, and helping leaders embed new practices into local routines.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver core PXT processes while building trust and influence through sound judgement and business understanding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What a typical day may involve<\/h3>\n<p>The role combines strategic thinking with practical, data-led problem solving. You may use analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, anticipate workforce needs, and shape solutions that improve the workplace experience. You will likely spend time coaching leadership teams on workforce management, driving HR process excellence, and working with field leaders on operational priorities and team effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Day to day, you will also maintain a visible presence on the floor or site, build relationships across different levels of the organisation, and contribute to improvements through site walks, employee listening sessions, and strategic initiatives. Success in the role depends on your ability to work through organisational complexity, lead change, and make sound decisions in uncertain situations.<\/p>\n<p>By combining business judgement, data insight, and strong partnerships, you will help create a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and able to perform at their best.<\/p>\n<h3>Required experience and knowledge<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor\u00e2\u0080\u0099s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of local labour law.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of HR theory, core HR functions and practices, performance appraisal systems, and staff development.<\/li>\n<li>Experience partnering with business leaders in complex and fast-moving environments.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting or leading employee-related processes such as onboarding, benefits, investigations, training, or talent management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preferred background<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A master\u00e2\u0080\u0099s degree or MBA.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in operational environments such as manufacturing, distribution, or similar settings.<\/li>\n<li>Experience training and supporting others in the use of HR systems and digital tools, with a focus on adoption and user experience.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use AI-powered tools, HR analytics platforms, and emerging technologies to generate insight and improve processes.<\/li>\n<li>Experience handling employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong coaching and influencing skills, especially when guiding leaders through difficult or complex situations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting employee engagement and development initiatives that have measurable impact on retention or satisfaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional information<\/h3>\n<p>Amazon says it is an equal opportunities employer and makes hiring decisions based on experience and skills.
