The Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a core part of Amazon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s operations, responsible for keeping essential machinery and equipment running reliably at all times. In this role, you would help maintain a broad range of site equipment and work areas while following strong health and safety standards. The position is focused on reducing downtime, protecting colleagues, and improving the availability and quality of the equipment that supports the operation.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across a wide variety of equipment and site assets.<\/li>\n
  • Respond to breakdowns and perform fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment.<\/li>\n
  • Use current tools and maintenance techniques to improve equipment performance and reliability.<\/li>\n
  • Work in line with all health and safety rules, policies, and best practices.<\/li>\n
  • Help support the growth and development of apprentices based on site.<\/li>\n
  • Take part in continuous improvement activity and help spread effective working practices across multiple European locations.<\/li>\n
  • Work alongside more experienced colleagues on everyday maintenance tasks.<\/li>\n
  • Liaise with outside contractors when specialist technical support is required.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute ideas for longer-term improvements to equipment and operational processes.<\/li>\n
  • Work rotating shifts so the site receives maintenance support at all hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What the role looks like day to day<\/h3>\n

    This is an on-site engineering role, which means you will be physically present at the facility and able to respond quickly when machinery needs attention. Your day will include scheduled maintenance work to keep equipment operating safely, as well as rapid response to unexpected failures. When problems arise, you will investigate the issue, identify the cause, and implement a solution as quickly as possible. You will also be expected to think beyond immediate fixes and suggest improvements that help prevent repeat issues. The role involves working closely with senior team members and coordinating with contractors when additional expertise is needed. Because the operation runs continuously, you will work a range of shifts to help keep the site supported day and night.<\/p>\n

    • Experience in either electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.<\/li>\n
    • A completed engineering apprenticeship, or an equivalent qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant engineering field.<\/li>\n

    • Good command of the local language, both spoken and written.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with condition-based monitoring is an advantage.<\/li>\n
