This is an opportunity to join a rapidly expanding deep-tech organisation in Oxford that is building next-generation AI accelerator technology. The business combines advanced hardware with high-performance software to push compute efficiency forward, and the engineering team is now seeking a senior embedded Linux specialist to help develop the low-level software that underpins these platforms.<\/p>\n

The role sits close to the hardware and systems engineering functions and focuses on the software layers needed to take new products from prototype stage through to production. You will be involved in the technical foundations of the platform, helping ensure the hardware is supported by robust embedded software across drivers, boot and bring-up work, firmware, and control software.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Develop low-level embedded software that enables the company\u00e2\u0080\u0099s AI hardware platforms.<\/li>\n
  • Work in partnership with hardware and systems teams to make sure software and hardware operate together effectively.<\/li>\n
  • Create and support Linux device drivers as part of the platform software stack.<\/li>\n
  • Take part in board support package development and board bring-up activities for new hardware.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to firmware development for the company\u00e2\u0080\u0099s products.<\/li>\n
  • Build RTOS-based control software where the product architecture requires it.<\/li>\n
  • Support system integration work, including low-level hardware initialisation and boot-related tasks.<\/li>\n
  • Help move products from early prototype stages into production-ready systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
