This is an opportunity to join an early-stage semiconductor design house that is building next-generation products for AI, advanced compute, and other emerging technologies. The company is looking for someone who can help shape how digital design is approached both technically and culturally, with the chance to make a lasting impact from the very beginning.<\/p>\n

The position suits an experienced digital IC engineer who wants real ownership, broad technical exposure, and the chance to contribute to a growing team. In addition to working on customer projects and internal IP, you will also help support and develop a group of six graduates, so this role is especially well matched to someone who enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge with the next generation of engineers.<\/p>\n

What the role involves<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Defining digital architectures for AI accelerators, data-path blocks, and SoC subsystems.<\/li>\n
  • Developing robust, synthesis-ready RTL using Verilog or SystemVerilog.<\/li>\n
  • Running synthesis, static timing analysis, and design-for-test tasks with standard digital design tools.<\/li>\n
  • Leading design reviews and helping establish the team\u00e2\u0080\u0099s best practices, standards, and design flows.<\/li>\n
  • Supporting tape-out activity and taking part in bring-up and silicon validation after manufacture.<\/li>\n
  • Mentoring junior engineers and helping strengthen the capability of the wider team.<\/li>\n
  • Contributing to internal IP development while also delivering on customer projects.<\/li>\n
  • Working across the full digital design lifecycle, from architecture through RTL to silicon.<\/li>\n
  • Taking technical ownership and making decisions in a fast-moving environment with very little bureaucracy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What the company is looking for<\/h3>\n

    • Substantial experience in digital IC design at a senior level.<\/li>\n
    • Proven experience taking a design through tape-out.<\/li>\n
    • A solid grasp of SoC design and the trade-offs between performance, power, and area.<\/li>\n
    • Confidence working across the complete design process, from early concept through to silicon validation.<\/li>\n
    • The ability to take responsibility for technical direction and work independently when needed.<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.<\/li>\n
    • A genuine interest in mentoring others and helping build a team.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in DSP, CPU, GPU, or NPU design would be useful, although it is not required.<\/li>\n
    • UK working rights are required for this position.<\/li>\n
    • The role is onsite, with an expectation to be in the office ideally four to five days per week at the beginning so that the graduate engineers can be supported effectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
