The UK Semiconductor Centre is looking for an experienced Investor Relations Manager to help strengthen how the UK semiconductor sector attracts, engages, and coordinates investment. This is a high-impact role at the centre of a nationally important ecosystem, with responsibility for helping shape the investment narrative around one of the UK\u00e2\u0080\u0099s most strategically significant industries.<\/p>\n

You will report directly to the Director of Investor Relations and work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including venture capital firms, growth investors, corporate venture teams, founders, and international capital providers. The role offers the chance to influence how the UK\u00e2\u0080\u0099s semiconductor opportunity is communicated to the market and to help build the relationships and materials needed to support capital formation across the sector.<\/p>\n

What the role involves<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with investors across venture capital, growth equity, corporate venture, and international capital networks.<\/li>\n
  • Planning and delivering investor engagement activity such as roundtables, briefings, workshops, and targeted events designed to bring the right stakeholders together.<\/li>\n
  • Producing high-quality investor-facing materials that present the UK semiconductor opportunity in a clear, persuasive, and professional way.<\/li>\n
  • Supporting founders as they prepare for fundraising by helping them improve their positioning, messaging, and alignment with investor expectations.<\/li>\n
  • Tracking investment activity, capital flows, and market sentiment across semiconductors and deep tech to inform strategy and engagement.<\/li>\n
  • Explaining relevant public funding options in the UK and internationally so companies can understand how to combine different sources of capital.<\/li>\n
  • Contributing to flagship publications, strategic frameworks, and insight-led outputs that support the organisation\u00e2\u0080\u0099s wider investor relations work.<\/li>\n
  • Helping to connect the ecosystem by building momentum between investors, founders, funding bodies, and the broader semiconductor community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What the employer is looking for<\/h3>\n

    • Previous experience in venture capital, investment banking, deep-tech investing, or a high-tech environment, ideally with exposure to semiconductors.<\/li>\n
    • A solid understanding of fundraising processes and the way investors evaluate opportunities.<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to analyse information effectively.<\/li>\n
    • The ability to engage confidently and credibly with both investors and technically sophisticated founders.<\/li>\n
    • A qualification or background in finance, investment, engineering, science, or a similar discipline is suitable, and the employer is open on exact academic background.<\/li>\n
    • A commercially aware, relationship-led approach with the ability to influence and build trust.<\/li>\n
    • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, mission-led environment where strategic thinking and practical delivery are both important.<\/li>\n
    • A proactive, network-focused mindset and an interest in being active in the wider ecosystem.<\/li>\n
    • The ability to move between big-picture thinking and hands-on execution as needed.<\/li>\n
    • Willingness to travel around the UK and Europe, with occasional trips further afield for major events and investor meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Package and working arrangement<\/h3>\n

      • Salary in the range of \u00c2\u00a380,000 to \u00c2\u00a390,000.<\/li>\n
      • Benefits included in addition to salary.<\/li>\n
      • Hybrid working, with two days each week based in King\u00e2\u0080\u0099s Cross.<\/li>\n
      • Travel across the UK and Europe, plus occasional global travel for key engagements.<\/li>\n
      • The role reports to the Director of Investor Relations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
