An expanding IoT technology company in Gloucestershire is looking for an experienced front-end engineer to help shape the next generation of its real-time, map-based operating system interfaces. The work focuses on building immersive dashboards and mission tools that bring together high-fidelity and time-based imagery, large datasets, and data from hardware sensors. This is a hands-on product development role in a fast-moving environment where the team values rapid feedback, live demonstrations, pilot programmes, and short delivery cycles.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Design, build, and continuously improve the company\u00e2\u0080\u0099s real-time and map-centred user interfaces.<\/li>\n
  • Create immersive dashboard and mission-tool experiences that can present complex imagery, large volumes of data, and sensor feeds in a clear and usable way.<\/li>\n
  • Make sure the interface stays responsive and easy to use even when it is handling multiple, varied data streams.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to a product development process that relies on quick iteration, live demos, pilot deployments, and frequent feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • At least three years of front-end software engineering experience, ideally in a setting involving data-heavy products or remote-sensing work.<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrable experience creating responsive, cross-platform interfaces and building effective data visualisations.<\/li>\n
    • Practical familiarity with tactical or operational mapping platforms such as ATAK, CivTAK, or WinTAK, including concepts like mission overlays, live tracking of assets, and workflows that continue to function without connectivity.<\/li>\n
    • Strong capability with TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, together with modern CSS frameworks or tooling.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with Swift, Kotlin, or React Native would be valuable.<\/li>\n
    • The ability to work with a high degree of independence while contributing effectively to a small, skilled team.<\/li>\n
    • Willingness and ability to work entirely on site in Gloucestershire, with residence close enough to commute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
