Amazon is looking for an experienced technical program manager to lead the strategy and delivery of complex automation infrastructure deployments that are being introduced for the first time across its global fulfillment network. This role sits within the Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation International team, which focuses on turning advanced automation concepts into deployment-ready solutions that can be rolled out efficiently at scale. The position calls for someone who can create deployment approaches where none currently exist, manage the full lifecycle of cross-functional infrastructure builds, and establish repeatable mechanisms that allow other teams to scale delivery with less direct oversight.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Own the end-to-end strategy for deploying complex automation infrastructure when the organization does not yet have an established playbook or build model.<\/li>\n
  • Lead the full delivery lifecycle for large, cross-functional infrastructure programs, including planning, execution, issue resolution, launch, and handover to steady-state operations.<\/li>\n
  • Remove blockers, accelerate delivery, and coordinate priorities and resources across multiple teams involved in the build.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with senior leaders to align on technical direction, deployment sequencing, and trade-offs that affect delivery outcomes.<\/li>\n

  • Create scalable deployment frameworks, tools, and operating methods that convert one-time launch complexity into predictable, repeatable processes used across the wider organization.<\/li>\n

  • Coach and develop junior deployment engineers, carry out promotion assessments for TIPM-level engineers, and help drive strong engineering standards.<\/li>\n
  • Evaluate and deliver large-scale automation solutions including conveyance, sortation, and robotics systems in multiple countries and building environments.<\/li>\n
  • Simplify processes, remove unnecessary steps, and help teams reduce dependencies that slow innovation or create delivery conflicts.<\/li>\n
  • Be present on site during deployment execution to lead first-time implementations through go-live while capturing lessons learned for future deployments.<\/li>\n
  • Run regular meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors, and prepare written narratives and presentations for directors and vice presidents.<\/li>\n

During implementation, you may be on site guiding a first-time deployment through launch while also coaching your team and documenting what should be improved for future rollouts. You will interact daily with teams across different time zones and functions, and you will need to write strong narratives and present to senior leaders.     Basic qualifications<\/h3>\n

    • A bachelor\u00e2\u0080\u0099s degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.<\/li>\n
    • Experience creating launch-readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across several sites running at the same time.<\/li>\n
    • Experience managing complex infrastructure technology programs or deployments from beginning to end.<\/li>\n
    • Experience defining deployment strategies for new technologies where no prior build plan existed.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to define infrastructure build requirements and dependencies for new technical products.<\/li>\n
    • Experience identifying when deployment problems are caused by technical design issues and providing actionable feedback to engineering teams.<\/li>\n
    • Experience influencing within a VP-level organization and advising senior managers and directors on deployment strategy and trade-offs.<\/li>\n
    • Experience mentoring and developing engineers.<\/li>\n

      Preferred qualifications<\/h3>\n

      • Experience managing vendors and external contractors at programme level.<\/li>\n
