The Investigation Specialist Lead for Veeqo is responsible for creating and running the company\u00e2\u0080\u0099s capability for account investigations and fraud response. This is a seller-facing position focused on spotting, examining, and reducing fraudulent activity across the platform, including account takeovers, shipping label abuse, payment fraud, and chargebacks. The role also covers account investigations that are not strictly fraud-related, such as compliance checks, account disputes, and operational escalations.<\/p>\n

You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Legal, and Finance to identify, investigate, and resolve issues connected to shipping, order handling, and payment workflows. Alongside fraud prevention and account investigation, you will be the main contact for Stripe-related matters and carrier chargeback questions raised by Veeqo sellers, making sure issues are resolved quickly and that financial records are reconciled correctly. Because the role is seller-facing, you will communicate directly with sellers throughout the full investigation process.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Help shape and implement Veeqo\u00e2\u0080\u0099s complete fraud prevention and investigation operating model, including the KPIs, policies, SOPs, and response procedures that support the function.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and operate fraud detection tools, rules, and alerts using internal and third-party systems such as Metabase, FullStory, and custom rule engines so suspicious activity can be identified proactively.<\/li>\n
  • Run detailed fraud investigations by collecting evidence, analysing information, documenting conclusions, and turning those conclusions into clear recommendations.<\/li>\n
  • Own Stripe-related cases, including disputes, unsuccessful payments, transaction questions, and refund requests.<\/li>\n
  • Manage seller enquiries about carrier chargebacks by reviewing disputed charges, analysing patterns, and helping define dispute strategies.<\/li>\n
  • Keep sellers informed throughout investigations, provide clear progress updates, manage expectations, and ensure a professional experience at every stage.<\/li>\n
  • Work across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to uncover process gaps, suggest improvements, and support adherence to regulatory requirements such as GDPR and PCI DSS.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare regular leadership reporting on fraud trends and risk, including the likely financial impact and recommended mitigation actions.<\/li>\n
  • Investigate and resolve account-level issues beyond fraud, such as recovery from account compromise, compliance actions, seller disputes, and operational escalations, with thorough documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Drive ongoing improvement of the investigation function by carrying out post-incident reviews, evaluating new tools, producing training resources, and mentoring other team members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Python.<\/li>\n
