What you would do<\/h3>\n

  • Lead, support, and develop a group of Area Managers so they can perform effectively and grow in their roles.<\/li>\n
  • Take responsibility for operational teams working the night shift, handling issues quickly and helping improve site results.<\/li>\n
  • Review how each shift performs against business targets and introduce actions that improve efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.<\/li>\n
  • Work in close partnership with support functions such as HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security to keep operations aligned and effective.<\/li>\n
  • Plan, design, and implement site initiatives that raise operational performance and support ongoing improvement.<\/li>\n
  • Serve as an important link between finance, safety, and operations integration teams, ensuring information and priorities are connected across the site.<\/li>\n
  • Spend time in meetings with different parts of the business, examining performance and risk data, and preparing for changes in demand.<\/li>\n
  • Provide regular mentoring, coaching, and leadership to your team so they can become stronger managers and deliver better results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Team and working environment<\/h3>\n

    You would lead the night shift at one of Amazon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s operational sites. The role is based in Customer Fulfilment, the part of the business that handles a very large volume of orders every day and supports Amazon\u00e2\u0080\u0099s fast delivery network. These fulfilment centres are described as the starting point for most Amazon packages, where inventory is managed dynamically and deliveries are enabled around the clock. The environment is fast paced and involves a mix of hands-on operational work and data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n

    The team includes people with different skill sets, from those working directly with physical products to those analysing data to support business decisions. The role is therefore suited to someone who can balance operational leadership with analytical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.<\/p>\n
