This is an opportunity for a C++ Software Engineer to join a Fortune 100 organisation and global leader in electronic design automation, based in Newcastle. The role sits within a technically focused environment where you will help shape and support a C++ software platform used in a high-performance engineering context.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Develop and support the existing C++ codebase, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the product and its users.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the build and regression testing system, using it to validate code changes and maintain software quality.<\/li>\n
  • Implement new features as the product evolves.<\/li>\n
  • Work to improve the software across several dimensions, including speed, reliability, scalability, and overall functionality.<\/li>\n
  • Follow an onsite working arrangement and be present in the office five days each week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • A PhD in a STEM subject, or alternatively an MSc in a STEM subject plus four years of relevant industry experience.<\/li>\n
    • Strong hands-on C++ development experience.<\/li>\n
