Its platform combines multi-sensor fusion and high-precision positioning to create live 3D models of indoor and outdoor spaces, identify changes over time, and provide useful insight to facility owners and site decision-makers.<\/p>\n<p>This position is based in Oxford and follows a hybrid working model. The role is centred on in-person collaboration, with a typical pattern of three to four days in the office and one to two days working from home. NavLive says it values strong results more than constant office presence.<\/p>\n<h3>What the role involves<\/h3>\n<p>As the senior mechanical engineer, you will take responsibility for the physical delivery of the company\u00e2\u0080\u0099s product across the full lifecycle, from early concept work through design, build, scaling, and deployment. The role is broad and hands-on, combining product development, hardware operations, manufacturing support, and team leadership.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own the mechanical design direction for future hardware, including new product introduction and development, and turn complex geometry and integrated hardware concepts into production-ready solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee hardware operations from end to end, including bill of materials management, inventory checks and reconciliation, and the creation of custom tools that improve operational efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Manage supply chain and logistics work, including procurement, coordination of international shipping, and handling the regulations that apply to cross-border movement of goods.<\/li>\n<li>Perform mechanical validation and thermal simulation work for high-performance compute modules.<\/li>\n<li>Lead product certification and compliance activities for global markets, including CE, FCC, UKCA, and other applicable standards.<\/li>\n<li>Help move the hardware operation from small-batch manufacturing into a more professional, scalable, high-yield production environment.<\/li>\n<li>Build small-batch prototypes or production units when required and carry out factory acceptance testing.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and support a growing multidisciplinary engineering team.<\/li>\n<li>Work with internal colleagues and external partners to support product development and operational growth in the construction and geospatial markets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What NavLive is looking for<\/h3>\n<p>The company is seeking someone with substantial mechanical design experience and the ability to operate across both engineering and operational responsibilities.
