Capgemini Invent is looking for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to help clients respond to the challenges and opportunities created by climate change. The role sits within a team that combines strategic, creative, scientific, and technology-led thinking to support organisations as they adapt their technology, digital services, operations, supply chains, and critical business functions for a changing climate.<\/p>\n

You will work with clients to understand their exposure to climate-related risks and help them build stronger resilience across their businesses. A major part of the role is to support the design and delivery of sustainability strategies and frameworks, turning them into practical action that creates measurable value. The work is centred on helping clients improve business continuity, strengthen operational resilience, and embed climate resilience into wider transformation programmes. The team uses a \u00e2\u0080\u009cresilient by design\u00e2\u0080\u009d approach, so you will be expected to help deliver outcomes that are meaningful for business performance, sustainability, and resilience at the same time.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Lead client engagements alongside colleagues from Capgemini Invent and the wider Capgemini business, helping to implement sustainability strategies and operating frameworks while identifying additional opportunities to create value for clients.<\/li>\n
  • Support clients in understanding how climate change may affect their technology estate, digital services, operations, supply chains, and other critical business functions.<\/li>\n
  • Assess climate-related exposure and help organisations improve business continuity and operational resilience, including integrating climate resilience into transformation programmes.<\/li>\n
  • Deliver practical, measurable outcomes across business, sustainability, and resilience objectives through a resilient-by-design approach.<\/li>\n
  • Act as a champion for sustainability within the team and across the wider business by bringing forward new ideas, methods, and potentially relevant start-ups or innovations.<\/li>\n
  • Promote the value of sustainability to clients and colleagues across Capgemini, helping build understanding of why it matters commercially and operationally.<\/li>\n
  • Train account teams, account executives, and senior leaders on climate resilience and adaptation, and explain the value these capabilities can create for clients.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to business development activity, including proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch support, and hosting clients at events.<\/li>\n
  • Support internal practice development through campaign work, internal think-tanks, white papers, operational improvements, recruitment, team events, and development of the team\u00e2\u0080\u0099s offerings.<\/li>\n
  • Take part in learning and development opportunities such as training and certifications that support your own growth and meet the skills needs of the business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

The team works with clients to accelerate the value they can create through sustainability and is described as energetic, supportive, and focused on delivering strong outcomes.     • An academic background in climate science or another closely related discipline is likely to be relevant.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in sustainability, climate risk, resilience, ESG, enterprise risk, or operational resilience consulting.<\/li>\n

    • Familiarity with climate risk and resilience issues across sectors such as energy, financial services, and the public sector.<\/li>\n
    • Experience delivering complex consulting assignments and managing stakeholders effectively.<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.<\/li>\n
    • Confidence in running projects and a good understanding of the commercial realities of client delivery.<\/li>\n
    • A genuine interest in sustainability and the ability to explain its importance to clients and colleagues would be welcome.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with climate risk modelling, resilience planning, or adaptation programmes would be an advantage.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, cybersecurity, or disaster recovery would also be useful.<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with climate-related reporting and disclosure frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, TNFD, and ISO 14091 would be beneficial.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in sectors such as government, financial services, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, or critical infrastructure would be helpful.<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of Sustainable IT, GreenOps, FinOps, or Sustainable AI principles would be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
