This internship sits within BNP Paribas\u00e2\u0080\u0099 Public Side Global Macro Structuring team in London and runs for 12 months. It is part of the bank\u00e2\u0080\u0099s long-term internship programme and is focused on supporting structuring activity across global macro products. The wider business sits inside Global Markets, which covers interest rates, credit, currencies, equities and commodities, and serves a broad client base that includes corporates, institutional investors, banks, governments and supranational organisations. The Global Macro franchise works across developed and emerging markets and spans everything from electronic trading supported by advanced AI tools to bespoke risk-transfer and structured solutions.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Support senior members of the Public Side Global Macro Structuring team with routine work connected to structuring activities.<\/li>\n
  • Handle straightforward, transaction-oriented tasks under supervision, while building practical experience and technical knowledge.<\/li>\n
  • Take part in the end-to-end marketing process, working with the relevant Global Markets teams.<\/li>\n
  • Provide execution support for ad hoc solutions when needed.<\/li>\n
  • Help develop new products and solutions, and learn how to market, price and execute them.<\/li>\n
  • Draft and distribute regular press and news updates on topics of interest to the team.<\/li>\n
  • Use knowledge gained within the team to understand technical concepts and deepen your understanding of products.<\/li>\n
  • Apply technical knowledge and established best practice in your work, while helping identify improvements that make support more efficient and effective.<\/li>\n
  • Continue developing the core skills needed for the role and the wider team, working mainly with limited direction but with supervision available.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with more complex tasks when appropriate guidance is provided.<\/li>\n
  • Build strong working relationships within the team and with other relevant groups.<\/li>\n
  • Deliver work accurately, with strong attention to detail, and communicate information clearly and concisely to colleagues.<\/li>\n
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Good technical and general knowledge of fixed income and FX markets.<\/li>\n

    • A university degree, or an equivalent mix of qualifications and business experience.<\/li>\n
    • A professional conduct mindset, including acting as a role model for good behaviour, showing initiative, being open and accountable, and helping manage conduct risk.<\/li>\n

      Programme and location details<\/h3>\n

      This internship is based in London and is intended for candidates who will be considered for London only if successful. The programme duration is 12 months. Applicants are asked to discuss available start dates with interviewers. BNP Paribas also notes that candidates may only apply for up to four long-term internships in a year, across any business area.<\/p>\n

      If you are not successful, your CV may be shared securely with other BNP Paribas teams during the same recruitment round so that it can be considered for other suitable opportunities within the group.<\/p>\n
