This role sits within the Security Engineering team in the Cyber Defence Centre and reports to the Security Engineering Manager. The position is focused on providing technical and functional support for DLG security tooling and services, helping to deliver security capabilities to a high standard and keeping controls healthy and effective so the organisation remains protected against both current and emerging threats identified by Threat Intelligence and Operational Security teams.<\/p>\n

  • Supporting the security engineering function within the Cyber Defence Centre and helping maintain strong operational security across DLG\u00e2\u0080\u0099s environment.<\/li>\n
  • Ensuring security services are delivered reliably and that the underlying controls remain effective against known and emerging threats.<\/li>\n
  • Taking ownership of the overall security integrity of the environment and helping strengthen the organisation\u00e2\u0080\u0099s defensive posture.<\/li>\n
  • Working to improve secure continuous integration pipelines and partnering with developers to guide them toward secure engineering best practice.<\/li>\n
  • Contributing to projects and change programmes so that they fit the security architecture framework and satisfy information security fundamentals.<\/li>\n
  • Using a technical assurance approach that gives colleagues confidence in proposed changes and helps demonstrate the value of those changes.<\/li>\n
