The work is centred on designing, assessing, and improving cloud operating models that are built for automation, intelligent workflows, and AI readiness. It is a hands-on consulting position that brings together technology, service management, and organisational change to create measurable business value from cloud adoption.<\/p>\n What you will do<\/h3>\n\n- Advise clients on the organisational and operational consequences of cloud transformation, and help them develop digitally enabled business models based on cloud and data-led, AI-ready operating models.<\/li>\n
- Review existing cloud operating models and identify opportunities to improve standardisation, automation, data flow quality, and readiness for AI-enabled operations.<\/li>\n
- Translate assessment findings into future-state operating model designs, service management processes, and organisational structures that are standardisation-led, automation-first, and prepared for AI.<\/li>\n
- Design target cloud operating models, service management frameworks, and organisational structures that fit the client\u00e2\u0080\u0099s strategic direction and cloud maturity.<\/li>\n
- Define future-state processes across service delivery, governance, and operational workflows, making sure the designs are practical, measurable, and aligned to automation-first and AI-ready principles.<\/li>\n
- Track and assess the effectiveness and maturity of cloud operating model change programmes using operational measures, service data, and insights, then recommend improvements.<\/li>\n
- Support the introduction of intelligent monitoring, service analytics, and AIOps-style practices where they are relevant.<\/li>\n
- Use expertise in strategy, service management, agile delivery, DevOps, business process mapping, and organisational design to deliver business outcomes through cloud transformation.<\/li>\n
- Help clients enable automation, intelligent workflows, and AI-assisted operations as part of wider cloud transformation programmes.<\/li>\n
- Work collaboratively across all levels of an organisation to innovate, design, and implement cloud change, while also contributing to the growth of the consulting practice.<\/li>\n
- Advise on practical uses of large language models, copilot tools, and agentic AI within cloud operating models, including service management automation, intelligent triage, and AI-supported decision-making.<\/li>\n
- Support clients in understanding AI governance topics, including data quality and transparency.<\/li>\n
- Contribute to business development through proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch support, and hosting clients at events.<\/li>\n
- Take part in internal practice-building work such as campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, recruitment, team activities, and offering development.<\/li>\n

- Interest in agentic AI patterns and how autonomous agents are beginning to reshape IT operations and service delivery.<\/li>\n
- Experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and modern delivery pipelines.<\/li>\n
- Ability to manage and architect solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.<\/li>\n
- Knowledge of cloud security best practice and compliance requirements so that cloud environments and automated services remain secure, resilient, and aligned with industry standards and regulations.<\/li>\n
- Current experience in a major consulting firm, or industry experience supported by a consulting background.<\/li>\n
- Proven ability to work successfully in a matrix organisation and to gain support and commitment from peers when selling and delivering consulting solutions.<\/li>\n
- Experience creating propositions and delivering them.<\/li>\n
- Clear curiosity and ongoing learning in the AI space, demonstrated through certifications, personal projects, published ideas, community participation, or internal practice contributions.<\/li>\n
- Ability to support business development by drawing on existing relationships, wider company relationships, and your own network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Working arrangements and location<\/h3>\nThe office base can be London, Manchester, or Glasgow. However, the role requires full flexibility on assignment location, and you should be prepared for periods away from home at short notice.
