This role is part of a company building silicon, systems, and software intended to push the limits of AI by enabling very advanced models to run much faster and at far lower cost. The organisation is growing quickly, has a strong combined hardware and software team, and is looking for someone who can help scale product delivery through technically informed sourcing and procurement.<\/p>\n

The position is based in the UK and focuses on electronics procurement and supply-chain engineering. It sits at the point where engineering, manufacturing, and procurement meet, with responsibility for making sourcing decisions that balance cost, availability, quality, and long-term scalability. The ideal person will bring deep electronics knowledge, practical experience working with suppliers and electronics manufacturing partners, and the confidence to shape design and sourcing choices early in the product lifecycle.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Take ownership of sourcing and procurement for electronic components and manufacturing services, including ICs, passive parts, PCBs, connectors, electromechanical components, and EMS\/CM services.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute technical judgement to sourcing decisions, supplier selection, and component qualification.<\/li>\n
  • Run RFQs end to end, including cost breakdowns and technical\/commercial evaluation of supplier responses.<\/li>\n
  • Develop should-cost models and lead cost-down work to improve commercial outcomes.<\/li>\n
  • Act as the technical procurement point of contact for component manufacturers, distributors, and electronics manufacturing partners.<\/li>\n
  • Lead supplier discussions covering pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, capacity commitments, and technical constraints.<\/li>\n
  • Support supplier audits, capability reviews, and qualification activities.<\/li>\n
  • Work with suppliers to solve technical, quality, and supply problems as they arise.<\/li>\n
  • Support new product introduction sourcing from concept stage through production, including BOM cost roll-ups and readiness for sourcing.<\/li>\n
  • Work alongside design engineering to influence component choices based on availability, lifecycle, and risk.<\/li>\n
  • Manage PCNs, end-of-life issues, last-time-buy planning, and component transitions together with engineering and operations.<\/li>\n
  • Support ECO implementation and the movement from one component or supplier to another.<\/li>\n
  • Identify supply-chain risks such as single-source exposure, long lead times, and constrained supply, then create mitigation plans.<\/li>\n
  • Build alternate-source and dual-source strategies and help plan buffers to protect continuity of supply.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, finance, and programme teams to keep sourcing aligned with wider business needs.<\/li>\n
  • Produce clear reporting on cost, supplier performance, supply risk, and mitigation actions.<\/li>\n
  • Mentor junior procurement or supply-chain engineers where needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Confidence using ERP\/MRP systems and advanced Excel.<\/li>\n
