This is a high-impact consulting role within the cloud advisory team, focused on helping clients reshape how they operate in the cloud. The work sits at the intersection of technology, service management, organisational change, and AI, with a strong emphasis on building operating models that are automation-led and ready for AI. The role is intended for someone who can help organisations turn cloud adoption into measurable business value, while also exploring how generative AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation are changing the way cloud services are run.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Advise clients on the operational and organisational consequences of cloud transformation, and help them develop modern business models supported by cloud and data-driven operating models that are prepared for AI.<\/li>\n
  • Review existing cloud operating models through assessments and audits, identifying opportunities to improve standardisation, automation, data flow, and readiness for AI-enabled ways of working.<\/li>\n
  • Turn assessment findings into future-state operating models, service management processes, and organisational structures that are practical, measurable, and designed around automation-first and AI-ready principles.<\/li>\n
  • Create target cloud operating models, governance structures, service delivery approaches, and operational workflows that reflect the client\u00e2\u0080\u0099s cloud maturity and strategic direction.<\/li>\n
  • Measure and review the effectiveness and maturity of operating model change using operational metrics, service data, and other insights, then recommend improvements where needed.<\/li>\n
  • Support the introduction of intelligent monitoring, service analytics, and AIOps-aligned practices when they are appropriate for the client environment.<\/li>\n
  • Use strategy, service management, agile delivery, DevOps, business process mapping, and organisational design skills to help deliver business outcomes from cloud transformation.<\/li>\n
  • Help clients adopt automation, intelligent workflows, and AI-assisted operations as part of broader cloud change programmes.<\/li>\n
  • Work collaboratively across all levels of the client organisation to design and implement transformation initiatives, while also contributing to the development and success of the consulting practice.<\/li>\n
  • Advise on how large language models, copilot tools, and agentic AI can be applied in cloud operating models, including use cases such as service management automation, intelligent triage, and AI-supported decision-making.<\/li>\n
  • Support clients in thinking through AI governance topics, including data quality and transparency.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition creation, client presentations, and hosting clients at events.<\/li>\n
  • Take part in internal practice-building work such as campaign development, internal think tanks, whitepapers, practice development activities, recruitment support, team events, and offering development.<\/li>\n
  • Engage in learning and development activities, including training and certifications, to support your career growth and the organisation\u00e2\u0080\u0099s skills needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Confidence working in a technology-driven setting, with practical experience in some of the areas listed in the posting.<\/li>\n
    • Working knowledge of ITIL v4 and\/or v5 practices, including incident, change, problem, and service desk management, together with an interest in how automation and AI tools are reshaping these processes.<\/li>\n
    • ITIL v4 and\/or v5 Foundation certification, or a higher-level ITIL qualification, would be particularly valuable.<\/li>\n
    • Practical familiarity with generative AI tools and platforms, and an understanding of how they connect with cloud operating models and ITSM workflows.<\/li>\n
    • Interest in agentic AI and how autonomous agents are beginning to influence IT operations and service delivery.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with DevOps methods, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and modern delivery pipelines.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to manage and architect solutions on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, and security services.<\/li>\n
    • Understanding of cloud security best practice and compliance requirements so that cloud environments and automated services remain secure, resilient, and aligned with standards and regulations.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in a major consulting firm, or industry experience supported by a consulting background.<\/li>\n
    • Proven ability to work successfully in a matrixed organisation and to gain support and commitment from colleagues when selling and delivering consulting solutions.<\/li>\n
    • Experience developing propositions and helping deliver them.<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning in AI, shown through certifications, personal projects, published thinking, or active contribution to AI communities or internal practice development.<\/li>\n
