This role is for a Lead Java Full Stack Developer who will help build scalable enterprise applications across both the user interface and server-side layers. The position sits within an Agile delivery environment and involves taking solutions from design through development, testing, and deployment. The work is based in London and follows a hybrid model, meaning day-to-day working will be split between company offices, client locations, and home, with the clear expectation that the job cannot be done entirely from home.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Take the lead on developing responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Redux, Node.js, and Jest.<\/li>\n
  • Design and build backend microservices and supporting services using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs, and a microservices architecture.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain high engineering standards by applying test-driven development practices and producing unit, integration, and other automated tests with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Selenium.<\/li>\n
  • Work with SQL databases, with Microsoft SQL Server preferred, and improve database performance and query efficiency where needed.<\/li>\n
  • Set up and support CI\/CD pipelines that automate build, testing, and deployment activities.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to design, development, testing, and release work as part of an Agile\/Scrum team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Strong practical experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Redux, Node.js, and Jest.<\/li>\n
    • Substantial backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs, and microservices.<\/li>\n
    • Solid testing capability with JUnit and Mockito, plus familiarity with Cucumber and Selenium.<\/li>\n
    • Good knowledge of SQL databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server, along with an understanding of cloud platforms and messaging technologies.<\/li>\n
    • Hands-on experience with engineering and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube, Veracode, Maven, and NPM.<\/li>\n
    • A strong grasp of TDD, CI\/CD, and automated testing approaches.<\/li>\n
    • Experience working in Agile\/Scrum teams and contributing across the full software delivery lifecycle.<\/li>\n
