This role is for an experienced Technical Architect who will provide senior technical leadership across a mature enterprise application estate. The focus is on keeping the platform stable while also supporting ongoing maintenance, enhancement delivery, and modernization work. The position sits within a complex environment where architecture decisions, production support, cloud operations, DevSecOps practices, and long-term roadmap planning all need to be coordinated carefully.<\/p>\n

The working model is hybrid. Day-to-day work will be split between company offices, client locations, and home, depending on the needs of the role and the business. Full-time home working is not available for this position.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n

  • Lead the technical direction for the application landscape and own the overall architecture and roadmap.<\/li>\n
  • Protect architectural consistency across production, non-production, and integration environments.<\/li>\n
  • Review and approve solution designs for enhancements, change requests, and platform upgrades.<\/li>\n
  • Push for simplification, standardization, and the reduction of technical debt across the platform.<\/li>\n
  • Define architecture principles and engineering standards, then ensure they are followed.<\/li>\n
  • Provide practical technical guidance to both delivery teams and support teams.<\/li>\n
  • Help keep business-critical applications running reliably and support their ongoing operation.<\/li>\n
  • Investigate repeated production issues, identify root causes, and shape durable remediation plans.<\/li>\n
  • Recommend modernization paths for older components and improve the sustainability of the support model.<\/li>\n
