An Oxfordshire-based employer is looking for a Semiconductor Process Engineer to help develop, transfer, and improve manufacturing processes for coated consumables in a cleanroom environment. The position sits at the intersection of research and production, acting as the technical connection between development and manufacturing teams. The successful person will contribute to new product introduction, design transfer, process capability improvement, yield enhancement, and day-to-day production troubleshooting.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Work alongside research and development teams to build processes that are ready for manufacturing and can be moved into production smoothly.<\/li>\n
  • Support technology transfer and new product introduction activities, including industrialisation work and practical input on how designs should be adapted for manufacture.<\/li>\n
  • Set and manage critical process parameters and critical quality attributes for the relevant manufacturing steps.<\/li>\n
  • Develop, improve, and control coating operations, surface preparation stages, and chemical treatment processes.<\/li>\n
  • Apply design of experiments, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving techniques to improve capability, yield, throughput, cost efficiency, and process consistency.<\/li>\n
  • Define process performance measures, monitor them over time, and lead continuous improvement initiatives based on the results.<\/li>\n
  • Investigate production issues, process drift, and yield losses by carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, and outside suppliers or technology partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
