What we're looking for<\/h3>\n

  • At least 5 years’ commercial software development experience.<\/li>\n
  • Strong hands-on experience with React and\/or React Native.<\/li>\n
  • Strong TypeScript development experience.<\/li>\n
  • Extensive experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.<\/li>\n
  • Practical experience with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code.<\/li>\n
  • Experience developing and integrating APIs.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, ideally including Amazon Aurora and DynamoDB.<\/li>\n
  • Experience working with serverless technologies, particularly AWS Lambda and API Gateway.<\/li>\n
  • Ability to work across front-end and back-end services within a modern application architecture.<\/li>\n
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an agile delivery team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The role<\/h2>\n

      We are seeking two experienced Senior Software Developers to join a major digital transformation programme, supporting the development and enhancement of a modern, cloud-based parcel services platform.<\/p>\n

      The platform is designed to provide reusable, shared services that can support multiple customer-facing applications, devices and transaction channels. It enables end-to-end parcel processing, including collection and drop-off journeys, carrier integrations, transaction management and tracking updates.<\/p>\n

      The successful candidates will play a key role in developing new functionality, onboarding additional service providers and expanding the platform’s capabilities. This is a hands-on development role, working across front-end applications, APIs and cloud-based back-end services, with opportunities to influence technical design and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the platform.<\/p>\n

      What you'll do<\/h3>\n

      • Develop and enhance customer-facing applications using React, React Native and TypeScript.<\/li>\n
      • Build and maintain scalable, cloud-native services and APIs within AWS.<\/li>\n
      • Develop and integrate new functionality to support additional service providers and transaction journeys.<\/li>\n
      • Design and implement API integrations between front-end applications and shared back-end services.<\/li>\n
      • Work across serverless architecture, event-driven services and workflow orchestration.<\/li>\n
      • Contribute to infrastructure development and automation using AWS CDK.<\/li>\n
      • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support transaction processing, data management and integrations.<\/li>\n
      • Support the development, deployment and continuous improvement of the platform.<\/li>\n
      • Collaborate closely with other developers, technical stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure high-quality solutions.<\/li>\n

            Key Objectives<\/h3>\n

            • Lead the technical delivery and integration of new service providers onto the platform, ensuring new capabilities are successfully developed, tested and onboarded.<\/li>\n
            • Design and deliver new end-to-end collection and drop-off journeys, ensuring they integrate effectively with the existing platform architecture.<\/li>\n
            • Develop and implement customer-facing reclaim journeys, providing seamless functionality across the relevant applications and services.<\/li>\n
            • Extend the platform’s capabilities to support additional transaction types and channels, ensuring services remain scalable, reusable and consistent.<\/li>\n
            • Work collaboratively with the wider development team to identify opportunities for technical improvements, share expertise and promote continuous improvement across engineering practices and ways of working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
